Possible to do a death save on Zen2?

Hi,

Is it possible to do a death save on any of the tables? Like a swing from right to left as when the ball is going down one of drain / out holes.

The tilt seems to sensitive to me, but i may just have not found the technique.

Yes bang backs are very possible - some people consider them too easy (extends game too long)
I think it's even a trophy/goal on one of the tables

Have they patched this so it doesn't work ? Cos i've been trying for a good bit now, and still can't get it. I'm using just the foward nudge, when the ball drains to under the flipper (with the flipper up) then it seems as if its going to go onto the other flipper, and i get ready to flip it, but it never gets far over enough for the flipper to flip it back out into the playing field.

Could it be the tables i'm doing it on? Family Guy and Bob's Burgers ? I'm also using the Steam ver. So using a KB. Problem is getting the practice in, you have to wait til the ball actually drains. I'd of thought by now though with the amount of tries i've done, i'd of at least of got it once, at the very least. Hence my has this been patched question ?

I mostly play on iOS and sometimes on ps4.
Bang backs are just hard to pull off. It's just a nice last ditch effort to save a ball that went down an outlane.
I've been trying them more since your post and I have maybe saved it 1 out of every 10 tries. One thing I noticed is the ball has to be going medium speed to even have a chance.

It's "illegal" to do them in tournaments in real life, and operators don't like it cause you have to hit the machine pretty hard (so much that it hurts your hand) - but I can't imagine zen patching this so you can't do a bang back on a virtual table - especially since they made it an acheivent goal.

Diagonal nudging has been patched on steam yes. It used to be easier to do a death save as the nudge was more powerful.

The bang back on the Marvel Women of Power is quite easy compared to a lot of the tables. That table you can play a long time.

There are a few things that you need to know before mastering the bangback technique.

1.) Understand the tilt warnings.

Nudging varies from table to table in real life. For Zen's tables, they are consistently the same. Any hard nudge (which is required to do a bangback) will net you a tilt warning. You get 2 of them (there are a few exceptions that give you 3) before the actual tilt. The good news is that these tilt warnings reset after 15 seconds. In other words, don't do consecutive nudging and you'll be fine.

2.) Some tables are easier to perform bangbacks than others.

You can perform successful bangbacks on every Zen table, but some are more challenging than others. In my opinion, Fear Itself is the easiest table to execute a bangback on.

3.) A bangback is performed by using an upward angle nudge. Not by a basic right or left nudge.

I recommend mapping the nudging to an analog stick. This makes it easier to execute an upper left/right nudge.

4.) Keep practicing. This isn't a techique that is easily learned. It takes a lot of trial and error to master it.

So do you recommend playing the Steam PC ver off a controller with analogue sticks (xbox controller as an example) I'm just using the keyboard, as i've invested in a nice mechanical brown cherry switch one, which gives a great tactical feel and IMHO enhances the feel of the game.

Never tried playing with a controller. I guess i could practice more with using two nudges at the same time. I guess you'll need the flipper pressed, then TWO nudges pressed just at the right time. I still haven't got it, and i must of tried a hundred times.

Yes! Try using an Xbox controller. Zen Pinball/Pinball FX was originally released on consoles, so it was built with controllers in mind.

Yes, you need to have the corresponding flipper raised to preform a bangback.
