most importantly they do different amount of damage to demons. Some weapons, like the Plasma Rifle or the Chaingun can damage the drop target demons and the 3D Imp or Lost Soul as well. The Lightning Gun can charge up the ball if you shoot it through the beam so the ball will do more damage to drop targets for a while. The Gauss Cannon is a real treat: with that you can shoot the ball back to the playfield at every ball save except during multiballs. The BFG9000 destroys every enemies with only one shot except the Cyberdemon. And my personal favorite, the Super Shotgun will start a short 2 ball multiball where every score counts as double!
As for the Power Ups, the Demon Rune will transform you into a Revenant floating above the playfield aiming at enemy players and explosive barrels. Haste is a tricky one, it will make the ball a bit faster for 30 seconds so watch out, especially with the orbit shots! With Berserk you will do significantly more damage to drop targets.

Doom Questions
Does anyone know what the different effects on gameplay are for each of the different weapons?
Also, what do the the power ups demon rune, haste, and berserk do?
