Leaderboard Access

I'm interested in developing an app that would involve getting leaderboard info for specific users. Is there a public API (or private with a key) available for me to use? All I'm looking for is weekly scores on a specific table (or group of tables) for a specific user (or group of users). Any insight on the availability of an API would be greatly appreciated.
