  • Leaderboards went sky high

Come on guys, this isn't fair! It was RPG time. First Dark Souls, then Skyrim. How did you/they manage to make billions in nearly every table? Not talking about Hypno74 or noKane, obviously. They must be androids.

But all the others? Is there another ugly trick like in Spiderman? Seriously, I hope NOT! That thing really messed up the hero score which is totally unbalanced now. Pinballs are stateless machines. Once we restart they must reset. Not to mention that such mechanism is cheatable using PS+ (not saying that the best cheated. They don't need to. But it is possible to abuse the PS+ cloud for it).

It's an exploit that Zen intentionally added into the game and it's mentioned in the rules sheet (under "help").

Every time you complete a mission, the mission level increases. This also increase the score multiplier in the wizard mode (Clone Chaos). That score multiplier is stored in memory and carries over to all future games.

One of the missions (J Jameson) is very easy to complete and can be grind/spammed heavily. I got up to level 24 in one game myself (not good in grinding), while others have gotten over level 200. Those that over level 200 get over a billion points for every orbit shot they make in the wizard mode.

Hypno74 created a video on the "trick".

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

    What you need to do:
Spend an entire game grinding the J. Jameson mission. On the next game, start up the wizard mode and watch you score climb.

Thanks shogun. I knew how it works in Spiderman (which i don't like. It is fine in-game, actually cool, but to remember it in the next games is against my pinball principals. Yup, I'm a purist). I was wondering if anything like that was available for the new tables. I don't remember which one has a dozen people with more than a billion points (Thor?).

I was kind of surprised since it has not been a very long time since they became available.

        Nope!

Ghost Rider has a lot areas where you can grind and get lots of points (multiball especially).

Thor has a combo trick (press launch button when you are on the ramps, mentioned on the DMD). This can also be heavily grind and with double scoring on and certain missions activated. You can get some really big points.

I know Fantastic 4 has a glitch (it might be an intentional secret) in the Human Touch mission that can multiply your end ball bonus by 40x, if you let the ball drain immediately after completing it.

I didn't know that the 40x on FF applied to the end ball bonus. I did luck out one time and get a 200m gift from the Thing during the 40x bonus time though. It would have only been 5m but 5 x 40 = 200

Pressing the launch button to make points? I think i saw a video once about that (was it from Hypno?) then I looked for it and I couldn't find it anymore. Still i would have never thought of it.

I am not sure how it works the FF one either. You mean to lose the ball? I wish there were the guides in this forum!! (EDIT: well, I just found now the video links thread. That should help).

            BTW What's a DMD?

Ahhh!!! I can't watch it. I lose the focus.

Anyway, what's the trick with Ghost Rider?! I played few games yesterday. The multiball paid nothing. Only the missions gave up some good 10 million points bonuses plus some jackpots.

For the multiball, there are four jackpot shots (1 million each) and the super jackpot (2 million, but can be increase with jump loops). You rinse and repeat getting the jackpots and super jackpot.

The missions can pay out more than 10 million. If you can complete them quickly, since you get a nice time bonus. I got over 30 million completing the Death Race quickly.

All right, I registered now! Fortunately I know some French, Google translation was kinda messy.

So I checked it.. is that real?! How did you discover all of that? I thought it had to do with multiballs and the JUMP multiplier. Who could have ever imagined that there was an algorithm behind that!! Anyway, I'll give it a try. Good job! As usual…

BTW I don't know if you checked. Someone made 18 bln today...

First of all. Why the hell is this forum asking what liquid is coming from faucet. As foreigner I have no idea what faucet is. Does Zen expect us to google the words and stuff we don't know (and yes I googled it, you could atleast call it "tap" thats much more common word) You could just as well ask who was the 7th president of U.S. or who won javelin throw local championship of Michigan in 1974. Gosh.

Anyway I die a bit everytime I hear someone talking about those "tricks". Why play pinball if all you do is spam same trick over and over again? Once you get that 500 billion score you really can't go back to "Ok I resist going for the cheap shots" trying to have "fair" and "everything is accepted" scores.

And no I'm not talking about high risk-high reward or difficult shots. I'm talking about stuff like Jameson that's really not hard but makes $$$

We call them "tricks" but they actually are tables' rules. Zen made them on purpose. All of them require skills and a lot of patience. Personally I don't have that patience and I am just below the required skills, but for some it comes natural. If you check Hypno74's Thor video he beat all missions in 12 minutes. With 1 ball. Deal with it, the top players are just incredibly good. Once they have got all trophies they concentrate on the scores.

BTW faucet is correct. And the questions are there to avoid spamming.
