  • PS4 Issue: Corrupt save file after playing many different tables

    Hi there,

I discovered that when you are playing more than (I think) 22 different tables, the save file gets corrupted. Progress and settings are lost. I own all 68 tables and I'm very sad about this. If you replay tables of the already played 22 the save file stays intact but when you play one more all is lost (I discovered it while playing and making backups of the save file after every playing session).
    BTW: I'm playing on PS4-EU.

Dear Zen team please fix that issue as soon as possible, so I can play all my tables.

    Best regards

    Fartian

    I've got a similar problem

    Hello,

I just want signal to the developpers a similar problem.

After playing to pinball fx 3, I have returned to the main PS4 menu using controller PS button and I launch another game.

The next time that I launch pinball fx 3, the help character who I was disabled before come back. In the same time all challenges where I won some stars are lost, the mastership points on tables which I have already played are lost too, also the skill bonus.

Nothing dramatic as long as my highscores are still there but I'm thinking that it can be usefull to transmit this information.

I'm fan to your pinball series since the first zen pinball on PS3, it's always a pleasure to discover new tables which are regularly released.

PS : please give us back a local top 10 highscore on tables.

Thank you, yes we are aware of the problem, this happened on all platforms. PS4 is the last one that will get the fix, unfortunately, I've been told the patch will be submitted today.

That's good news. I logged in last night and found that all of my challenge progress had been lost as well (though trophies are still unlocked). I'm also a PS4 player with all 68 tables. A little frustrating but Zen's earned my trust and patience when it comes to fixing issues like this one. Thanks.

I have the fix already installed for a few days on my PS4, but I keep getting those weird "your previous high score" numbers.

Yeah thank you for nothing, because the patch solve nothing, in fact for my it's worse than before. Cuz i've lost all my progression, and i'm here, registering to a fucking forum because you never answer on twitter i dont have the chance like the OP to have a second save, i just lost 21 fucking levels

It's very simple, if my progression is lost forever, fuck this game

Not that it can help you now, but as a suggestion I save my profile data a couple of times a day when I play repeatedly. Not had to use it yet since my data has not corrupted.
                Accomplishments in real life

                1. Rolled a star wars machine................ie played over 99 levels and rolled it back to level 1.
                2. Rolled Nintendo punch out, several times, same quarter.
                3. Played an entire game of dragons lair and completed it and won while blindfolded.

Of course it's very nice that you are helping us with a workaround, but I'd prefer some form of communication from ZEN and preferably a solution...
My "previous high scores" are all messed up and I'm afraid of losing all my progress because of this...

Your initial save file was most likely corrupted and did not agree with the new patch that is to prevent this from happening again.

This is indeed annoying, and thank you for your kind words and for being so cool about this issue.

The fix that got released will prevent this from happening again.

                      Hi,

No problem ;-) And I guess the stress @ZEN is a bit higher then @TFH.
But do I need to remove the current save file myself on the PS4 or will your future/current update fix the issue (by) itself?
