Yeah I'm in agreement, the input screen does take you out of the moment.

Wrote up a suggestion about bringing back the dotmatrix screen.

Agreed. Zen's general presentation is slick but this local score inputting method puts a dampener on things. Please let us disable it.

I've always wished they would let us enter our initials once and then default to that from then on when we're in a single player game. In FX2 it was annoying to have to scroll through the letter list slowly, so I always put in AAA. Now it's a little easier, but I'm still not wanting to take the time to enter 3 letters after every game. Would be awesome if it would remember me.

Maybe for those who often play with local friends, it could remember the last 5-10 names entered and offer them in a selection list, or allow you to enter a new set of initials.

Mind you. I dont participate in the lame ass tournaments that use wizard powers, which I find highly offensive in pinball. Cause what would be the point? I can already beat most normally, If I used the rewind I could play for hours on end and for what? 25 points, the same as the guy who comes in last.

This is ball 1 with two extra balls waiting. And at completion of tournament I get the same points as the guy who spent 5 minutes just thumping randomly on his flippers. They have turned a game that used to reward you for your skill into a game for kindergartners with all getting the same participation award no matter your skill. It makes you just try and beat your rival by as few points necessary and move on to the next tournament and not like I used to like and destroy them.

They could have just added to it instead of changing it. I loved putting in my initials and then allowing my kids to play and they put in theirs. Just seems weird to make pinball something that its not with magic and things that add to your score that you didnt really earn except by grinding. I have 10 tables and out of 68 thats probably not that great, but 10 I can on almost any game score a billion points, and on some do so on the first ball and now their is no incentive to do that because I can spend an hour or more getting that score and at the end no matter if I come in first with 50 billion I only get 25 points at the completion of the tournament same as the guy with 15 points who came in 40th. So now I just shoot for a score I think I can win and then let all my balls drain and in the end it doesnt really matter because I currently have a glitch that reset all my tournament scores and now shows them all at zero even though I had almost 15 #1's and lots of number 2's.

Pick a table, pick the normal play option, highlight a mode (normal, classic, hotsteat) then use the right stick to change which scores are displayed on the right. Not entirely sure what the controls would be for a keyboard though.

It takes away slightly from the experience. Ideally it would be dot matrix as before, but with this way I'd rather not have it at all. Hopefully Zen can add an option to turn off the feature for people who'd rather have it the way it was pre-patch.

Agreed. I loved the way it was done previously on the dot matrix display. Would love to have it back. Feels like a small part of the authentic pinball experience has been removed.

Can we have an option to disable the inputting of initials for the local high scores? I preferred it before without it. Now, with the local scores box appearing at the end of games, it ruins the flow slightly.
