So I couldn't play any of the tables in last week's Matchup mode, and found it unfair that I got ranked down because I didn't play anything and therefore wasn't ranked. Was this a glitch or intentional behavior? I don't get tables that often so I find it unfair that someone who doesn't own a lot of tables will find it near impossible to rank up.

It's not a bug, it's intentional. You have to score above a certain limit in order to maintain your rank each week. On the Matchup screen you can see where you need to be in order to be in the top 20% (Green area), where you need to be to maintain your current rank (Blue area), and then where you will lose a rank (Red area).
It's an incentive to purchase more tables if Matchup mode is something that you're truly interested in. Not giving an opinion one way or the other here, just explaining how Zen has set it up. -
The problem i have is that it makes who has deep pockets a factor in Matchup mode. Plus, it Deranks you if you can't participate that week for whatever reason. Don't you think that's a bit unfair?Comment

It doesnt even really matter as its a complete and utter waste of time. I won 197 matches and lost 11 and still did not make the round 3 cut. Sure, Im still in round two. Id give you my medalion If I could as it means nothing to me.Accomplishments in real life
1. Rolled a star wars machine................ie played over 99 levels and rolled it back to level 1.
2. Rolled Nintendo punch out, several times, same quarter.
3. Played an entire game of dragons lair and completed it and won while blindfolded.
