A Legend Returns achievement not unlocking (Save Cap's ball from draining)

I have yet to unlock this achievement on both Pinbal FX2 and Pinball FX3.
Does anyone have any tips for completing this correctly? I've read other threads here without much help.

I've recorded me doing the "Death Save" with and without the Ball Save activated, all while using Captain America's ball.
The achievement fails to unlock using both methods.

You're saving it form the drain. It has to be from an outlane. Looks like the outlanes have gates in them. A well timed nudge should earn the achievement.

To be honest, I don't really own this table, nor have I ever performed the type of death save you're doing. However, the achievement unlocking that way is either a glitch or the ball rolled far enough up the outlane to trigger it. It is possible to the death save the way I described, I've done it a few times on Sorcerer's Lair.

I find that you have to perform the death save and trap it on the flipper without hitting the ball.

Best/easiest way to sink the ball into the left outlane on this table?
Having trouble getting it in there consistently.

There doesn't seem to be a set of targets that would drop the ball down the left outlane (like the bumpers in Sorcerer's Lair), so you really just have to wait for an opportunity.

I just got extremely lucky doing the method I showed in the video!
The ball happened to drop down at a speed faster that I've been able to get previously and it went higher into the left drain.

The funny thing, is minutes later I did a perfect save from the outlane the correct way on a different table

I hadn't had any luck with this achievement since Pinball FX2, however I just unlocked the achievement in FX3 yesterday.
I used the same method in your video, I guess the ball just happened to go up further into the left side a little more than it ever has.
