  • Superscore / Wizard Score

I still don´t get how this is calculated exactly.

    McLovin posted the last week:

"Your wish is my command, here are how these are calculated:

Superscore: Based on your standing on each table leaderboard you get a value between 0 and 1000. This is not a given, the score changes as does your position on a leaderboard. The superscore is all these values combined.

Wizard score: The Superscore of your and your friends combined."

I tried different modes but Single Player Classic, 1-Ball-Challenge, 5-Minute Challenge & Survival Mode seem to don´t affect the Superscore at all.

So Superscore seems to be linked to the Single Player mode only. But if that is right, I can´t understand the calculation. We have 68 tables, so at the moment the highest possible score should be 68.000, but some guys have 130.000 and higher...

I´m also confused about Wizard score. I have a lot of friends playing FX2 and now FX3 but my Wizard Score is pretty low. When I have a new highscore on a FX3 table that I haven´t played before my Wizard Score rises far more than my new highscore. Is it possible that my friend´s scores on a table only count, when I play this table for the first time?

It should be linked to Single-Player yes, the 'normal' mode not the classic one.

    Edit:

There were some issues with very huge wizard and super scores popping, maybe that's what you saw after games.

You are right... There still seem to be a problem with glitched scores.

On XOne the Top 100+ scores on the Superscore-Leaderboard are obviously glitched. The scores are incredibly high (130.000 M) and the players have a low rating (Level 1-3). Regarding to your calculation the maximum you can get at the moment should be 68.000 (1.000 on every table) and all the players that have a Superscore 20.000+ should have a player level of 40 because it takes some time to get there...

The Wizardscore-Leaderboard seem to have the same problem.

Is there a possibilty to fix this? If not it would be very unfortunate. A leaderboard with a good system to compare your effort with other players over all tables would be meaningless if the Top 100+ are occupied by users with glitched scores.

The proscore (which was calculated like the superscore) on ZP2 for PS4 had the same problem with unrealisticly high top scores. They were there pretty much close to when ZP2 launched on PS4 and to my knowledge were never fixed in however many years. So, I really hope it's something they can fix but I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't, as they seemed to be unable to fix similar issues in the past.

Hi guys, I've been informed that a fix should be out now from the server side of things.

Look for changed scores now, they should be the right ones.

On PS4 these don't look very fixed to me.

              Pinball FX3_20171108171041.jpg

The top 6 people on my friends list are ranked in the top 100 with around 6.207 million Superscore and then it drops to my next friend at rank #237 with 43,357. So I'd say that superscore is legit and all the millions are still wrong. This is as of just now, with all patches. 5:16pm CST on Nov. 8th.

You guys have a bad habit of saying that you've fixed something, i.e. profile resets, ps4 error code ce-34878-0 application crashes, and now these wizard and superscores when, in reality, they aren't fixed at all or only partially fixed. It's ridiculous. Do you quality test this stuff at all?

I can confirm that the problem is fixed on XOne.

So today I learned how super score is "supposed" to be calculated.

Why isn't classic part of it?? Or just grab whichever single player mode rank is highest and use that. Some players prefer to play classic mode, and some (me included), play tournaments in classic mode, typically putting up the big scores there.

The term "super score" is now a bit misleading, since it doesn't even take your score into account, but your rank on the leaderboards. So maybe "Super Rank" is a better name for it. Infact I'd love to see a Super Rank, not based on a scale from 0-1000 per table, but actual rank number, so that the lower it is , the better. A sort of overall Ranking. An overall ranking would say a lot more of how skilled a player is. Please add that , and let the super score be based on scores, that way we can have the best of both ways.

I think we need a top level physicists like Stephen Hawking to help us figure this all out.
Note: he's a close personal friend, I could hit him up on Skype and see what he says.....

I happen to be a physicist , but i was never interested in debugging pinball games, my research is focused on the Riemann zeta–function and some other mathematical problems at the moment.
