Ps4 completely crashed and I have to reinstall ps4 5.01 or higher

So I try to play pinball fx3 like usual and out of nowhere, before I even get to play I get a blue screen about shit not working and blah, blah, blah, like only the 100th since getting pinball fx3. I try and escape it and all the typical sony shit just freezes to the screen and my only option is to actually unplug my ps4. When it finally comes back on I am greeted with only one option which is to reinstall ps4 update 5.01 or higher. I have no other option whatsoever and have to go to sony.com and find and download the pup file and reinstall it which frankly means I have to find a drive in my house that has their fucking weird format that I dont have so I have to completely wipe one of my drives just to reinstall the pup file. I havnt actually done it cause my only two available drives are full of shit I dont want to fucking delete. I am sooooooo fucking pissed right now. My name is Jerry Turner and in the future if your company wishes to have me beta test your product I am good at reporting bugs and understand the risk involved when beta testing a product, but when your product has already met the requirements set forth by Sony I shouldnt get a blue screen almost every time I play and never under any circumstance should it crash my system and require I reinstall a pup file. Never. Im sooooo fn pissed right now.

ps4 will not accept the update file so at least you no longer have me here reporting bugs cause my system is dead now and it happened directly after your bug. Just saying. Oh well you guys have fun beta testing.

If an application would be able to sc*w up your system like this, you're angry at the wrong company. You should be angry at Sony, because that would be a major design flaw in their OS.
The fact your machine "died" when booting fx3, doesn't neccesarely mean it's FX3's fault. It might have triggered something, but this sounds more and more like a machine that has some more (other) probles. Bad (flash) memory, HDD with bad sectors, etc...

did you get the full update file ? i know with ps3 there were diffrences in update files not certain with ps4 and for things like this you had to get the full update file for the correct region otherwise it would not accept the file. Not certain but i think it can be placed on thumbdrive as well the update file.

all the way on the bottom with "Perform a New Installation of the System Software" and there is a seperate download now link the update file is 900 mb instead of 300 mb so i'm guessing it still has these diffrences.

Also make sure it's placed in the PS4\UPDATE folder as explained in that section (all capitals) if you had downloaded from the link on the top of the page (350 mb file) it won't work (needs the 900 mb file)

if your in europe goto the same section of the site for your country and use the download now button at bottom. Like what i explained above not the usual big download button on top (although i'm not certain if firmwares are still region specific)

I got it working again, but every one of my games is gone and i have no idea if it will allow me to download my games yet.

You'll be able to redownload your games again. Your PSN account keeps track of your transactions history.

Its fucked up. It is giving me a different name and not allowing me shit. All of my games are gone. Every one and now Im trying to download pinball fx3 and I had every game and its making me download all of them again dn not knowing who I am and wanting me to purchase all of them, which I will never, ever do again. i already did it.

I managed to get it fixed, but now must download every table again and start over from day 1 so that sucks but at least it works.

Ok, so have 57 of my previous 68 tables downloaded. Still working on it and wanted to start over again and redo all of my wizard skills and take my xp back up to 465 thousand verus the 0 points I currently have, but every time I try and load a table it now blue screens. Every time.

not bragging but I have the high score on marvels women of power champions and I cant even play that table anymore and have no wizard powers anymore.

Its really fun going back to family guy on the challenges and finding out I have no wizard powers at all when they were maxed and I have to defeat the lowest score which is 32,000

Im so irritated by you guys and sony right now. I bought this thing 1 month in advance and got it day one and loyally supported your pinball since day one when it was just zen pinball and you mucked with it and took my nearly 12 billion points on v12 to 200 million cause you changed the physics and still I stayed and now it blue screens all the time and all of my shit had to restart and m level 41 is like level 9 now and none of my wizard powers are there and it took me two days to download just your pinball games and I still need to download 85 more games that are way larger and not a single one of you have responded. You could have at least said, hey I feel you bro. Sucks. You could have said something.
