  • Rewind Wizard Power Question

Why does the rewind power have a cool down? It may be obvious, but I can’t think of a reason. Too often I let go and miss an opportunity for using the rewind correctly.

I tried searching the forums for this topic and didn’t see it. I understand why the other powers don’t have a cool down, people will want to use them in succession but also sparsely. Any thoughts or answers?

    Thanks,

I'm not certain, but I think it is because it has to buffer what you do in order to allow you to rewind

    2. Rolled Nintendo punch out, several times, same quarter.
    3. Played an entire game of dragons lair and completed it and won while blindfolded.

I can understand that. Just need to get better at using it or get better so I don’t have to use it.

I don't think it's a technical limitation. Seems to me this is just how it was designed, perhaps it proved too powerful without cool down.

You know, you can upon completion of a game, while all your bonuses from the game are being totalled and hit your bonus button to multiply the score and it wont exactly multiply your score, but does in fact multiply the xp you get. I am so glad you have this buffer otherwise I would rape every time I hit a bomb on Marvels women of power champions when I hit it and it give me 3 billion points and just rewind and do it again and then rewind and do it again and just rewind and do it again, over and over again.......................groundhogs day bitches.

I imagine the rewind would take the XP back? Also in a game of competing for high score I think XP you earn is just a bonus for cosmetics, really just shows how long you’ve played or in some cases which tables you can really get good score on, so perhaps the rewind would give you lots of XP but the score on the table would remain the same as rewinding does take those back.

Your wrong in assuming that. I know for a fact the multiplyer thing does precisely that and works perfectly. Im not certain about the rewind thing. To be honest I think the rewind thing is kinda lame and dont use it that much. I have just used it to max my stats.

Ha, wasn’t arguing-assuming about multiply, but it sounds like you’ve rewound on the bonus points and XP and got it both times?

Yeah generally I just use multiply as well. I was just curious if there was specific reason it had cool down. Could be over powered/abused or there could exist technical limitations.

I just play the game like you, and really just never use the rewind except to max out my stats, but other than that I never use it, but I did try and use it while I was finishing, much in the same way as when I was using the multiplyer, which worked, but because of the buffer, and waiting it just didnt work as I wanted it to. It's a game, I try to exploit how to make more points.

Really? I use it all the time, it's like having 8 to 9 extra balls. While it doesn't always work I can have about a 95% success rate in saving the ball. Makes the one ball challenge ridiculously easy to get number ones on. While I haven't done a lot of one ball challenges when I do I'm usually number one.

Depends on the table. I usually have it equipped for the 1 ball challenges too.
