    Hey!

Thanks guys for the feedback, opinions about Matchup. It's good to hear your suggestions, really important for us.
My colleague is filtering the ideas and try to improve the Matchup system.

I have to agree - it is annoying. And in my opinion a waste of time, grinding the points. Beating the points within 30 seconds and wait another 150 seconds too end the game. Bad game setup. No competition, no fun.

ZEN please give us a note here!

There exists best scores for each player on each table. I would rather these be my targets when playing a Matchup game rather than a calculated score based on averages. Doing this I would get rid of the point system and instead have ranks on the tables. So, rather than playing and gaining 55 points per win and having to grind, I would be playing to try to climb the ladder or solidify my place in the top rungs. This system better simulates actual league play in real pinball where you are comparing scores and not the frequency of which someone plays and manages to get an arbitrary score.
Well, having only 3 minutes this can be hard - but maybe worth a try.
Any other scoring system will be better than this one

You only have to be in the top 15% to advance. I finished 12th, but I only had 5000 points with the breakdown as being 105 wins and 5 losses, but ya, its still a grind and has been complained about, and for these same reasons since the game first released and we were told months ago that Zen was going to retool it.

In my previous post, I stated that the last round had 3 of my favorite tables so that was awesome, but I also have the high score on two of them so my starting score for spiderman was over 30 million and back to the future 27 mill? so I mostly had to play bob's burger the entire round, because beating 30 mill in 3 minutes and winning each time aint happening.

It seems I am going against my average score for the table plus/minus some degrees of standard deviation to make it “easy” or “hard”. I tried gaming this system by playing only to beat the score and then waiting for the match to end (you can’t quit out once you’ve beaten the score). Doing this I could rack up the 8-10K in several hours (avg 55 points per game and 3 minutes a game you get about 1K point per hour), but I usually play after work and after kids have gone to bed for about a half an hour to an hour.

Thanks. Maybe I can at least make enough points to remain in this bracket one more week until a better list of tables appears.

The last round had 3 of my favorite tables, 2 of which I actually have the high score on and I still only made it to 12th place and now this one there is no way i will beat it. Also, last one was for silver 3 and now this one is silver 2? Is 2 higher?

    Improvements within Matchup?

    Hi,

last round I noticed players getting a lot of points - over 10000. And I wondered how to achieve this.

As I found out you always need a better score than your last enemy - so I have to improve my game more and more, especially if I dominate for extra points.
So 10000 points are about 200 games with approx. 50 points in average (won every game, some with bonus)
200 games each 3 minutes will be about 10h playing - not too much time, but the score will get up very high.

So please help me out, if I play without dominate-bonus, always have just some points above my enemy, so I can keep playing 200 games at the same level.

Where is the competition here? And if I lose some games or give up, the points will drop again. That is no Matchup - that is strategical playing. No competition. Its just a waste of time to climb up the ladder.

How about a fixed scoring system, like start with 1 Million to beat, every time you win you need like 10% more, medium +5%, easy +2,5%. Since this system is fixed it will be more fair and at a certain point you really need to fight for your victory.

Just my thoughts... What do you think?
