I first started playing Zen pinball 2 on my ps3 maaany years ago, and when I found out there was an repolished game for my ps4 I just had to get it. I was really impressed and happy with the way Pinball FX3 had improved on most aspects of the game I loved to play.
The only issue I've had so far with the game is that every time I've finished playing and entered my name for the local highscore I am forced to stare at a loading screen (presumably for the online score to register), sometimes for up to 30 seconds - something I never experienced on the old game. I was having a hard time thinking the problem was with my connection since I haven't had any issues with my network in any other situations, so I went searching on various forums and it appears the issue is widespread. Many people are having the same annoying problem with long loading times after finishing their game on a table, and it appears on many different platforms (Xbox, PC, PS4), which hints (to me at least) that it's most probably a server side issue.
On the steam community forums on the 29th of december 2017 a developer (Akos) said that it is a known issue probably related to "the implementation of the Classic Initial Input" and that the programmers were working on a fix. Now it's been several months without a word from anyone, and the issue persists, and it's a shame because I love the game. But to avoid the ridiculously long load times I have to force a restart of the game without the scores registering and I can't understand why it has to be like this. So now I'm turning to the proper forums dedicated to the game - are there any news for us who are finding it less and less enjoyable to play, simply due to an issue that for a layman should be very easy to sort out.
Thanks in advance
