  • Multiplayer Feature - Consoles

    To whom is may concern,

Just wondering if it has ever been considered to have a multiplayer function over the Xbox Live network or any other console network where people can play the game live with each other. I know this may not sound exciting, but I'm sure there are just more than my friends who would enjoy the ability to have a 2,3 or 4 player game where once your turn is over the next player starts their turn and you watch as you would if you were together at an arcade. I enjoy the tournaments and I know we can 'play against' each other by comparing scores, but that feeling of seeing what each other is doing and learning from one another is definitely lost.

-If this already exists then please tell me what I am doing wrong-

Anyone else feel the same, or do I just have weird friends?

    Thank you for your time,
    rabidpiglet

I just was talking with my son about that topic last weekend. It would be a great feature, even when I see the technical challenge behind that idea.

PBFX2 on last-gen had an online MP mode, up to 4 players going head2head (you could only see your table). I didn't play it often, but miss it, was cool playing live against random players worldwide.

Multiplayer is a lot of frantic fun; up to four of you can play simultaneously, and your goal can be either to score the most within a time limit or to be the first to reach a specific score. Furthermore, you can choose to impose a score penalty on any player who lets a ball drop, ranging from five percent of the player's current total all the way up to his or her entire score. You can't see other players' scores during this competitive mode, but a small progress bar with arrows indicating the position of each player lets you see at a glance how well you're doing.
I also miss the in-game score challenge feature. That was where, upon beating a friends score offline, you could send an auto XBL msg (or edit to your liking) to that person, notifying them that you beat their score. Was fun to receive random msgs that "so-and-so beat your score on XYZ table", that would always prompt me to play FX2 again & respark my interest in a table.

I didn't play any offline splitscreen, but would like to see that feature return. My wife has expressed some interest in playing pinball, would be fun to go head2head.

I agree. If I got one of those messages on the xbox 360, that's all it took for me to go after that score! I probably got a few of those from you Jay.....and i probably received more than I sent as well LOL.

Yup, same here, was always a pleasant surprise to receive a score-challenge msg! "Hmm, haven't played that table in awhile..." <starts up FX2>

I was poking around FX3 last nite, looking at all my friends scores. I have some serious catching up to do! May start with Excalibur, you have a great score there. Wish I had more time, especially with the Williams tables coming out...
