Skyrim: Screen tp pick locks remains (mostly) black

Since a couple of days my screen remains black when I should pick a lock.
The DMD is visible - but no lock, no movement, nothing.
I can turn the lockpick, I can break break it, with some luck I am able to open a novice lock.

It might be an coinsidence, I think it appeared the first time after installing the williams beta, I am playing on steam.

I tried to repair my installation with "check local files", and I also un- and reinstalled the complete game.
I also have a key for the cabinet view, tried different options - no sucess.

Any suggestions, maybe somebody encountered the same challenge?

I can confirm. I have this exact same bug (also installed the Williams beta.. removed it, installed original FX3 and still it's broken).

I'm having the black screen on Skyrim pinball when lock picking, hoping for a fix, not happy to see there's no answer from 3 years ago. Am I just screwed?
