Unnecessary Rage Trophy / Impair lane results in ball drain

I decided to go for all the trophies in FX3 on my PS4 and am working on the Unnecessary Rage Trophy in Castlestorm. The problem is that you have to shoot the ball through the impair lane quite some times and this results in a ball drain sometimes which I can't seem to stop.
Is there an easy way to make sure the ball doesn't drain when it comes of that lane?

Let the ball bounce off of the neutral left flipper, which will in turn feed it to the right flipper, allowing it to be cradled. This method is highly dependable, plus allows you to quickly set up the Impair lane shot easily by subsequently targeting the Mission sinkhole from the right flipper.

I decided to go for all the trophies in FX3 on my PS4

I tried this a year ago and failed to get the trophy after 6 months of effort on the first table I focused on: Archer. Yeah, I picked wrong for my first table. I wish you better luck! FWIW, my attempt was on FX2 and the FX3 enhancements will probably give you a better shot at Archer.

OK, thanks for your hints you all: This morning I sat down to have a go and on my 2nd go was able to get this trophy (and a 170M score).

OK, Tesla's in the pocket as well. Had to do it twice, as doing what's needed in one of the challenge modes doesn't unlock the trophy. Also got the Getaway trophy by accident ;-)
Anyway, now it's time to find out on how to get my hands on the Excalibur one
