  • Medieval Madness audio is not good enough

I was excited to play this even though I have bought it before on that other game (both on PS4).

I am terribly disappointed. The charm of this table, to a major degree, is the little spoken phrases during play, but I find they are almost inaudible in Zen's version.

I can't find any setting to reduce the table's music and/or bring up the level of the spoken audio.

Frankly, Zen, I don't think this is acceptable. You seem to have blown it with this table.

Please correct it if you wan't any more 'real table' business from me.

    Thanks for reading.

What nonsense! Sound is spot on for this table and the other 3 in the Williams pack.

I can hear the voice just fine with normal settings if nothing too crazy is happening on the table.

do you use some form of surround sound or a receiver. I've noticed using surround sound or my receiver (which is 5.1) could muffle things in certain games. I have not tried with pinball fx3 but i did notice it other games. Heck sometimes enabling surround stereo (can't remember real name) so that all boxes play the sound is better for hearing things than using actual surround sound. Often some of the spoken text only comes for middle front speaker but it depends on games. having surround sound enabled in settings while you actually have only stereo speakers can be bad also for hearing things

I agree about the sound issues on Medieval Madness. On the Xbox One X the spoken audio is almost drowned out by the music and the audio settings do not seem to work on this table (they work with the Star Wars tables no problem). I like what Zen has done with the table, but the sound issue and censoring make me glad I have the table through Pinball Arcade by FarSight Studios.

            Hola amigos

I'm not wrong and this is not nonsense.

I have played this table many many times in my youth, and I'm talking of the real 'physical' table here. I have also played the Farsight emulated version.

The audio is not DOA, but it's not right. When the angry mob is shouting that 'they took our xxxxxx' etc, the audio is muddy and unclear. Is it the end of the world?... no.

Is it good enough? ... no it's not.

This pinball table is one of the classics, and currently the audio is not good enough.

Zen need to fix this so as to give the original table the respect it deserves.

Perhaps some further clarification - speakers used, headphones?, mode (stereo, 5.1, 7.1), platform (PS, PC, Windows version) will help.

I have been playing the table extensively - on my Windows PC in stereo mode to my logitech surround with THX, audio for angry mob seems quite distinct and clear. I am using it in cabinet mode, two monitors. No audio abnormalities that I have noted.

Using Xbox One X with 7:1 surround A/V receiver. On this same system the FarSight table is superior with regards to sound. Even compared to the other tables offered by Zen the audio for this table falls short.

OP is right, I totally agree. Why can't we have that level of (official) quality? http://www.robertwinter.com/pinball/...mm_sounds.html

No answer to that complain, Zen ?
