  • Launching fx3 extremely slow?

    Greetings,

I started FX3 about 5 minutes ago and I am still only at 62% loaded?

Does this game now download itself when you launch it?

    And if so WHY?

Not everyone on the planet is on a decent internet connection or has the ability to get a good internet connection. If the game does indeed download itself when it's launched then it's a game I won't be playing much, if at all in future.

While I have typed this I have now reached 71.8% which is ridiculous. All I wanted was a quick game on pinball, by the time the game has loaded I'll be so fed up I'll just quit it and play something else.

Not really sure about your situation as you provided little information, but once the game is installed it launches fairly quickly. I assume you are downloading all the updates since the last time you played which include some free games or at least one Williams table called fish tales.
    Accomplishments in real life

    1. Rolled a star wars machine................ie played over 99 levels and rolled it back to level 1.
    2. Rolled Nintendo punch out, several times, same quarter.
    3. Played an entire game of dragons lair and completed it and won while blindfolded.

First time loads and loads after updated will be slow while the files are checked. Past that it should be pretty snappy.

My console is in instant on mode and usually any updates are automatically installed when they become available.

Last night when I started FX3 it took 20 minutes for the game to be in a position to show Press A to continue.

No idea what it was doing but needless to say by the time it had finished I had one quick go on a table and then went back to Elite Dangerous. I'd lost that pinball feeling.

What platform? I played on my XB1 both last nite & a bit this morn before work, started up normal, good to go within a minute (if that)...

From this it sounds like you are using xBox from the `console` and `A to continue` comments.

For this I would recommend you uninstall PBFX3 and reinstall it. Should not be taking that long to load on launch. My PS4 Pro with SSD is nearly instant when I load it up.
