  • Windows 10 - Cannot import FX2 tables

    Hi,

    I’m a long-time user of Pinball FX2 and have purchased a number of tables there.

    I’ve just learned about Pinball FX3, installed it and… it refuses to import any tables:

    Where do I go from here? I emailed the support alias, no response so far...

    Were any of the tables in PBFX2 steam codes or kickstarter rewards? If so there are known issues bringing those over.

    If everything was purchased directly in Steam there should not be any issues.

    Make sure you don't have any anti-virus or firewall stuff blocking PBFX, and try a re-install from Steam and see if it works.

      Both Pinball FX2 and FX3 have been installed from the Microsoft Store. The tables for FX2 have been purchased via the Microsoft Store (in 2016, FWIW). Nothing was related to Steam.

      About the firewall, I've opened https://forum.zenstudios.com/showthr...ewall-settings to discuss what the requirements are.

        Don't think I will be much help on that one, I am not familiar with the Microsoft Store and how the purchases there work.

            Found this on their FAQ:

            ```Originally posted by FAQ:
            Can I import my previous Zen Pinball 2 / Pinball FX2 purchases to Pinball FX3?
            YES! If you purchased content on PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One or Steam you will be able to import your purchases for FREE. At this time, Windows 10 purchases will not transfer to Pinball FX3, however we are working on a solution and hope to fix this in the future.```
            FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS When will Pinball FX arrive? The game is available now on Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and the Epic Games Store with over 80 tables. Nintendo Switch and other platforms will arrive later this year. Is Pinball FX a free download
            ```Windows 10
            Link your account in order to be able to import your previous purchases.
            When you arrive to the main Pinball FX3 dashboard, you will see an “Import Tables” message in the lower right corner. Just hit the space bar and the game will look for your previous purchases. This request may take some time and even time out depending on a number of factors. Exit Pinball FX3 and restart the game. Repeat the same process and your tables will begin downloading.```

            What troubleshooting steps have you done to work on the issue? And can you confirm where you made the original FX2 purchases?

              I'm aware of these FAQ entries, read them prior to posting.

              I haven't performed any troubleshooting other than firewall-related (see other thread).

              I confirm I purchased the FX2 tables via the Microsoft Store.

              I just got a response from support, they asked for proof of purchase. I've sent them a screenshot of my Microsoft Store billing history, let's see what comes out of this.

              I'll keep y'all posted.

                I have tables in Pinball FX 2 on Xbox One that can't be imported to PFX3. Bethesda, Aliens and Balls of Glory.

                Table import in PinballFX 3 is currently broken on both Xbox One and Windows 10.

                "Table import failed, Please try again later".

                It doesen't scan for tables at all.

                  Might be worth pulling your modem firewall settings back temporarily to a point where you are not getting the other issue you posted about and trying the table import. If that still fails I would say its an issue with the Microsoft purchases.

                    That's exactly what I've tried. Even with the firewall's "lower" settings, table import fails.

                      I also have PS4 and PinballFX 3, and table importing works normally.
                      When that's said, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, Steam Link, Docooler Android TV, NVIDIA Shield TV, PBO PRo HD and more connected to same router, and none of them have any issues.
                      Xbox One have no issues on any game except for Table import.
                      PinballfX 2 Table importing from Xbox 360 to Xbox One works fine. Just not in PFX 3.

                      I also have PinballFX 3 on Steam, and table importing have no issues there either.

                      PS4 is connected to same Switch as Xbox One and table importing works in PFX3 from PS3.

                      Is it a concidence that both Win 10 and Xbox One have exact same error when they use shared tables and saves, and both use same LIVE account?
                      Smells like a bug in PFX3.

                      Edit:

                      I have checked Network settings on Xbox One, and everything is 100%.
                      uPnP Works.
                      NAT: Open.

                      I even changed a network port on Xbox One, and still same Table Import error.

                        Hi!

                        There is a rare error that can prevent the import from going through.

                        If you send an email to [email protected] we should be able to help you out manually. We'll try to get back to you asap after we receive the message.

                        Thanks and sorry for this very annoying error.

                          I did contact them. They didn't provide a means to import my tables, instead they supplied me with a code I redeemed to get the tables I had purchased for PFX2 free for PFX3.

                          As a consequence, I've lost my high scores...

                            Loss of high scores is expected.

                            Different engine, different leaderboard.

                            even classic mode doesn't have same physics, and some tables have gameplay changes.

                            everyone starts from zero on new platform. even with properly working imports.
