Williams Medieval Madness animated pinball backglass
- Very early work-in-progress, maybe 20% complete.
- All fire elements are just place holders at the moment.
- All character movements are just testing purposes only... as is just about everything at this point!
- Lots of work yet to be done on the castle and characters in the scene.
- King, and Dragon will have full body/appendage articulation. (which is fun just playing around with the appendage controls!!)
- Enjoy the sneak peek, this is a fun one!

Feedback is always welcomed as well as cool ideas too!

Can these be downloaded for use in PinballX as the backglass? They would need to be f4v. I think I read somewhere that a download link can be put on a youtube video.

When I am ready to share them it will be a download from my server of a zipped file of the original render. YouTube compresses uploaded videos for use on their site and look horrible in comparrison.

As far as f4v vs mp4, they both work for use in the front end, but currently do not work in-game/pfx3. I am hopefull that Zen changes this and goes back to allowing video files for the backglass while in-game. Zen... buddy... come on man!

Champion Pub -sneak peek-

Here's a sneak peek of a work-in-progress for my Champion Pub animated backglass. Final version is :30 sec and loops seamessly. This is one of my favs! Both the game itself and the fun time animating everything. Lots goin on in there for sure Kid!

Why bother to create something that can't be used?
PFX3 don't support animated backglasses.

I hear ya! However... these do look nice in the front end selection when a table hasn't been selected yet. I think I'll create a new list in my front end that only has the tables I have my animated backglasses for. That way while hangin out with friends and havin a beer/watchin a game, only very cool backglasses/tables will be shown to "attract".

I will also create a new still from the animation that will be used while playing a table so the backglasses match. When I "finish" an animation, I'll post the video here with a link for download that will have both the animation and matching still graphic.

-Side note, doing my best to have the animations loop seamlessly like the above updated Attack From Mars and Jurassic World videos. The above examples are all works in progress and are half completed.

Also tinkering with a Jurassic Park backglass... all of these are works in progress. Hopefully we'll be able to use these in-game...

This is just a working concept at the moment.

- When completed, this will look like the Dino is "walking" with the logo rattling with each step and the camera view floating with each step as well.

- More lava and debris to come.

- This scene actually might change to be used for Jurassic Park Pinball Mayhem while I create a version more true to the night scene view from the mouth as the original artwork depicted.

- Maybe some circling Teradac... flying lizards.

Attack From Mars Animated Backglass

Here's one of the Bally backglasses I'm working on...

- Both UFO's will be animated. The UFO that is animated now will change as the light pattern for both will look like the lights are rotating instead of flashing as they are now.

- Aliens will have full limb articulation and motion.

- Current explosions are place keepers for now.

- More motion to come for the surrounding city/scene including a passing elevated train.

I'm wanting to create some custom animations for my cabinet's Backglass and share them here.
(I'm running PFX3 via Steam on a custom cabinet)

So If I understand past comments correctly, PFX2 allowed for Backglass assets to be video (not just a static graphics) via PFX for both in the front end selector as well as playing the table itself. I also understand that this work around capability has changed for PFX3 via the PinballX/Game Manager method and no longer works. Is there any other way for us 3-monitor cab users to use video assets for the Backglass while "in game" that I've missed in my searching the various forums? I'm not sure if I want to commit the time I would if I can't use my custom video backglasses while in the game itself.

Currently working on some for the new PFX3 Williams/Ballys Classic tables. Here's an example for a KISS backglass I'm tinkering with as well for when I can finally find and install a 2015 Stern KISS table for my cabinet. cough cough help cough cough...

Anyways, I would spend a heck of a lot time creating some cool backglasses to share if they could be used during gameplay for PFX3...
