  • I think it is time for Zen Studios to acquire farsight and get their good programmer

I think that is would be in the interest of farsight to have you buy them, evaluate their programmers and take their good ideas and work to make even a better pinball product.

Feel that farsight will continue to lose and they can keep their programmers employed under your management leadership.
You could even give the users of their pinball arcade a deal on the table they purchased from farsight and upgrade the tables they have in their portfolio under the zen studios fx3 system with minds from the both companies.

For sure if you want Zen to have TPA's demise, it would be definitely in the interest of farsight lol. Those people could only produce 3D models (of tables), their physics were shit, their UI was horrible, their bugs were horrible and were never fixed, their customer support was unprofessional to the point of being offensive, their marketing disgraceful, their programming skills horrible, that's why Williams took the license off their hands. Also Zen does not need any new programmer, they already have many AND their hardcore programmer, "deep", which farsight was lacking. Further, deals with Williams/Bally tables are made by Williams and not by anyone else. Seems like you are a TPA owner and would love to have the tables you paid for free, while Zen should suffer lol, well I feel sorry for your choice. I never wanted to give them any money as it wasn't worth it from the beginning (very shitty physics for a digital 1:1 recreation, better served with honest true fantasy pinball games)

Nope, not a farsight owner at all!!!!! Just think we do not need two pinball programs out there holding on to licenses that could be used buy Zen , i would agree with you. I do not like farsight product at all and will never buy it.
I tried a demo a while ago and agree it was not good at all!!!!

      FX3 is a fantastic application!!!!!!!

The only thing Zen needs from Farsight is their Stern license, which should come naturally after it expires and Farsight goes out of business. Bunch of amateurs.

I don't know the details of the programming abilities and all that, but I think it would be neat if Zen assimilated another company. Of course I know nothing of what I speak of in the gritty details. Just my 2 cents.

Farsight has been on the ropes since they lost williams, and they simply spread themselves too thin and never listened to their consumers and just kept releasing broken tables that they never went back to fix, plus they priced themselves out of the UK/EU market when they up the price of their tables to just EU/UK consumers, then they did not even bring out a physical release of stern pinball in the EU/UK, and the pricing of their digital stern piball tables is a mess, and i like many am still waiting a year later for the supposed crossbuy with Stern tables between PBA and SPB......it has just been a catalogue of missteps from Farsight for some time now, i am surprised they are still limping along to be honest.

Well they aren't actually limping. They are a contract company and that's been their bread and butter since 1992. Many times Farsight isn't credited for their games, so who knows how many current games are actually made by them.

Farsight has a lot of other business that isn't pinball, they are a company based in the USA while Zen is in Europe, so this wouldn't make sense at all.

Well it is always a smart move to get more eyes and talent on a product, although I don't think we'll buy anyone - we are not that big ourselves (a bit more than 60 people work at Zen) to be making these huge buyouts.

Although it would be probably fun to hang out with Farsight Mike, seems like a cool dude.

....limping along as with PBA and SPA, i don't know about their other business but as far as i can tell there is supposed to be one more table coming out from them, Eliva 3 for Stern, then that is it, far as anyone can make out that is the end of the Stern licenced tables from them, and they are at this time working on a bowling game of all things, sad i know as i have all TPA tables, but i suppose onwards and upwards........Stern tables on FX3 possibly.......who knows highlander, Who knows.

Farsight just lost another 2 table licenses. Both AC/DC tables will be removed in a week or something.<

THQ Nordic is the one who buy developers left and right nowadays.
