Preorders for Star Wars™ Pinball on Nintendo Switch are now available for digital download on the Nintendo eShop – and for the first time ever on any platform, as a physical retail release at select retailers. Star Wars™ Pinball includes a collection of 19 Star Wars™-themed tables, as well as new features exclusive to the Switch for only $29.99.

The first Star Wars™ game to release on the Nintendo Switch, Star Wars Pinball will take full advantage of the platform’s unique functionalities, like HD Rumble and vertical play orientation – which, in our opinion, is the best way to play pinball. In addition, Star Wars™ Pinball will also feature various never-before-seen gameplay modes exclusive to the Nintendo Switch Star Wars™ collection like Career mode, the Galactic Struggle, Force Training and more.

You need to come over to discord. We get more answers there and often quicker. They have said the leader boards will be separate because of the newly added features.

Well, that's pretty much a no buy then. I already belong to a community on ps4 then I have another already on the switch and now I need to be on an entirely different one specifically of those who buy this game? wtf?

If separate - is this the same case for the digital release of SW? Basically what I'm saying is - I ideally want the SW tables in my Pinball FX3 game (like how it is on PS4) and not separate, so want to know which best to buy. Thanks.

The discord link is for everything Zen Pinball. It's basically a better version of what's here. We get quicker responses then here and it's a bit more active. I rarely even come to these forums any more when I use to check daily.

Ah ok - that's a shame. Will still definitely pick it up but will definitely get the physical copy now (thought this may have been like with how the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 expansion was in-game if digital and separate if physical).

Unless there is an incentive there is no benefit to pre order. Before the digital era, the purpose of pre ordering was so that distributors best shipped the number of wanted copies and not overstock the shelves that would later create an issue a month later where stores were discounting a still new copy of something that would normally sell for 10 or 20 dollars more. It was a brilliant, for the time marketing strategy that the consumers bought into at their own peril, but now, in the digital era, unless there is additional content pre orders are of no value whatsoever, and in fact, with reviews of games coming out almost immediately release day and posted on youtube it's almost stupid to pre purchase.
