I have a GTX 1060 3GB video card. I get 60fps @1920x1080, but it still looks kind of bad to me. The ball seems sort of transparent and seems to stutter, but at least the game is playable. At 4k, with all the settings at their lowest, I get 20FPS and what looks like 1 frame per 2 seconds every time something major happens. What kind of video card do I need to actually play in 4k? Maybe something is wrong with my set up? I have the latest drivers installed, but I didn't try to tweak anything.

Something to think about is:
What would be better?
1. A 4K 60Hz (60fps) screen. (ultra sharp image quality, but less fluid motion)
or
2. A 1440p 144Hz (144fps) screen. (less sharp image quality, but really fluid motion)
Personally, I think I'd go for option 2.
I play on my cabinet, on a 1080p 60Hz screen. And I'm curious what it's like to have more realistic ball movement.

Higher resolution vs framerate. Every player in the world would go for framerate.
But in our pinballs, we need realism, so I'll go for higher res.
I run 4k smoothly with a nvidia 980ti, very little stuttering occasionally, but I am not sure if it is cpu or gpu related.
Williams tables at 4k are beautiful, they look real, even the very small letters of the instruction cards are readable.
My settings are : cabinet mode, no antialiasing, shadow quality high, vsync on.Last edited by colvert; 10-10-2019, 03:08 PM.
