  • Cabinet Mode View 2 excellent for all tables except Cirqus Voltaire. Please fix this

    Hi guys,

As I've mentioned before, my full size pinball cabinet is built specifically for FX3 Williams Classics using VIEW 2. Its perfect for all tables except Cirqus Voltaire. The only suitable view angle for Cirqus Voltaire is View 5 but it has a moving camera.

The VIEW 2 should be the same as VIEW 5 but without moving camera.

    Can anyone fix this please?

Finally, please don't change View 2 angle for all other tables. Feel free to add more view angles if possible.

      There are no responses

Have a look through the forum.
They rarely answer or comment on anything.
There are so many issues with cabinet mode that could be fixed simply
      - having a consistent way to exit the menus (just let us press escape on ALL menus to let us exit). There's one screen that you have to move right to choose the exit button. Come on. this is just simple sh!t.
      - Let us move the camera to a view that we like. Not what they like.
      - Let me disable the stupid characters that jump around on the screen without disabling the nice looking bumpers and lighting.
      - Retro fix the physics on ALL the williams table packs.
      - And last of all, give us some damn information. I come here approximately every three months and it's the same every time. No new news, no new updates, no fixes. Nothing.
These guys need someone in their team as a community manager. (and if they already have one, then fire them and get someone good)

Hi guys, not sure what slipped here! Sorry about that, we'll make a concious effort to be more present here.

BOSSMAN72 - we put a lot of work into our customer service letters, we always tend to finish the week with 0 unreads in our inbox at the end of Friday. You are using support dot zenstudios.com correct? In the future, please feel free to use linne at zenstudios.com, akos at zenstudios.com or jeno at zenstudios.com as well for any of your needs or questions. We should definitely be receiving those.

mrsnipey - I agree that we did not come out with much on the pinball front this year, be that new content, or fixes, or requests. There wasn't a lot of information simply because we were not ready to share it. WMS 6 was and is a hard nut to crack, surprisingly we have had a lot of trouble with integrating alphanumeric display into our system. Now that we are finally there, we were ready to share the pack. There's nothing worse than talking about something or setting a date, and then having to delay a release or tell people that something advertised is not arriving on time. We are throwing some coal into our pinball steam engines in 2021, it'll be a good year for pinball again - 2020 was a bit less exciting on this front we can sign on that.

The address OP-s question, thanks for the review of Circus Voltaire's cabinet view 2. Circus Voltaire is different because of its one-of-a-kind DMD placement. We had to change our regular cameras to accomodate this.

Thanks for the reply. I trust that you are hard at work and doing your best for the customers and the company as well. I have had no issues with the game (hence that I only use Williams classics in arcade mode and occasionally tournament mode ). For me personally, the physics in both arcade and Tournament modes are spot on. I personally wouldn't change anything a part from what I have specified in my first post.

It is interesting about the Circus Voltaire indeed? Yes its different but for the cabinet users like myself, I wouldn't mind DMD NOT visible because already have one displayed on the second screen. Once again I am talking about cabinet users only (full size pinball cabinet). So, currently the View 5 for this particular table is equivalent to View 2 that is found in all other tables but without moving cam. If you could look into implementing a view without visible dmd and moving camera it would be very much appreciated.

I shall attach a few photos of my pinball cabinet (shortly) just to show how good the View 2 actually is. It gives you just enough room to mount your TV in a perfect position without blocking other components allowing just enough space to work around.

Here it is. View 2 perfectly positioned. Note that this is 43" TV

This is the preferred locked View for the Circus Voltaire.
