Jaws: disable boat motion because of motion sickness?

There's a mode in Jaws that makes the boat move...left to right. Pausing the game does not work as the timer stops as well...trapping the ball with the flippers does not work either so you have to play this mode and watch the screen...however, a lot of people including me have motion sickness. I don't have an idea why such a mode was implemented. Maybe the table can be reworked for Pinball FX?

Hi, designer of the Jaws Pinball here. I'm sorry to hear that Raging Sea mode gives you motion sickness, that was not our intention of course. I came up with that hurry up to spice things up a little and to give the player a unique challenge using a cool gimmick - which was real tricky to create.

I just talked to the devs about this and they'll look into it. I think we should consider not only this camera movement but in the future other features that might cause motion sickness as well. Does any other table have this in your experience?

Thanks for your reply! Jaws is awesome and one of my fav tables (and yes, I have them all). No, I don't have a problem on other tables. It might seem strange and uncool to disable modes that spice up pinball, but I am not alone with motion sickness. The older the players, the more sensitive they are (or become). Usually, pinball players are not 20-year olds but rather old guys (I'm 41).

I am just playing E.T., unlocked two planets flying around in circles all the time with ball 1, got 3 extra balls and I'm at ball 2 at the moment. These two planets are very annoying as I have to concentrate not to look at them.

E.T. was designed by another designer, I'll let him know. My suggestion would be to complete that mode so the planets disappear
