Epic Quest Jackpot Resetting

Please Help!!!
Jackpot is resetting itself to start point and do not know why when a friend is able to keep adding to his Jackpot without resetting. I cannot compete with someone who is getting 5 million plus for jackpot score compared to my three hundred thousand...
Only thing I can think that makes sense is I sometimes forget to log out after game placing tablet into sleep mode?
