And what does contributing to the fight do anyways? and whats the point in the "sith master" stuff?

Hello everybody I have a question about the Star Wars boards on Zen Pinball HD... i noticed that if you buy the stand alone version that you can choose a side (light or dark) and in the HD version you can't does that mean that if your playing through the HD version you do not contribute to the "fight" cause i bought the stand alone version but refunded it to try in the HD app and i noticed that you couldnt pick a side but could not refund the money due to being in app purchase.
