  • Online highest score in list, why ??

Just noticed that only the highest score is listed in the online highscore list. Why?, I would appreciate it wehn all scores are listed, this would be much closer to reality where it is possible that one player dominates the highscores on a given table, it would also enhance competition as it will clearly show which players are consistently good on a table.

Well, to make it short, I find it annoying that only the highest score is listed.

What are the thoughts of others and the developers on this?

It's not possible for technical reasons, but I also think that most people wouldn't like it. You wouldn't want to be the second-best player in the world and have your best score be 500th because the #1 player just plays so many games.

technical reasons can always be solved I would say.

It is not about being the second best player, it is about having the second best score, that is what pinball is about. The score is what counts. At least you will be listed at #500, on a real machine there is only place for 5 scores, regardless of who made the score.

In general this is true for most arcades, it is the score that counts, not how good you are as a player relative to another player. If one kicks butt on a machine that person will dominate the score list. It is irrelevant if that person just played more than you, if you want to beat the score, you have to play better, simple as that.

That is what the local high score table is for.

Technical reasons cannot be solved by us. It would be GameCenter and OpenFeint that would have to make changes.

And no other online game works the way you describe, because that is not how the majority of players want it to work. While I understand where you're coming from, we can't change a feature in a way that would displease a majority to please a minority.

Understood, i guess i am one of the few that played real pinball and wishes for that style of compitition.

Also, quite some players do not even bother to fill in a name. Pity.

How can I actually put my name instead of the number of player? Is it related to Openfeint?
