  • Cannot purchase new tables

    Hello,

    I'm a new user with an iPad 2 with the latest iOS. I just recently downloaded zen pinball for ipad and cannot purchase any of the 3 marvel tables.

    whenever I double tap on one of their icons, a message displays soon afterwards saying "Unable to purchase the table: Cannot connect to iTunes Store".

    I am able to connect to iTunes outside of the game and internet browsing is stable. I've noticed a few other comments similar to mine but from people who have already purchased tables, unfortunately I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, tried signing out and signing in with my apple ID on the device, none of this worked.

    Is there something on your backend that is temporarily down or pointing somewhere incorrectly?

    Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

    This is the steps I had to follow to get it to work for me... I had to do this three times to get all three tables, which was annoying at best.

    1. settings -> store -> sign-out
    2. Open Zen Pinball while still signed-out of the store.
    3. Double-tap the table you want to purchase.
    4. An in-app prompt will ask you to login to your iTunes account.
    5. Login with your iTunes username and password.
    6. Rinse and repeat if you want additional tables.

    There is nothing wrong with my iTunes account, since I have no other issues with in-app purchases on other apps. There's something going on in the Zen Pinball app, but at least there is a work around... Good luck...

      Same Problem

      I'm having the same problem (can not purchase new tables; receiving same error message). I attempted the work around described in the reply multiple times over the course of several hours, but it didn't work for me.

      Very frustrating.

        ditto with not being able to buy new tables on my iPad, even after trying the workaround suggested of logging out of the store prior to purchasing. Oddly enough I can purchase on my iPhone though, any way to transfer my purchase to my iPad as well?

          My friend had this same problem. Basically he had multiple accounts on his iOS device. He had downloaded the game with account "A" and then it was account "B" that was being used to try to buy the in-app tables. An error was coming up because he hadn't downloaded the game with that account.

          That would explain why someone is able to download them with an iPhone, but not an iPad (there's a different account being used on the iPad).

          Check to see if this is the case with you guys.

            Yes. If you have purchased the tables on a different iOS device you still need to go through the buying process, although iTunes will tell you that you already purchased it and will ask if you would like to download it again.

            I bought all available tables using my iPad 2 and have since downloaded them all onto my iPhone 4S without any problem.

              Did anybody solve this problem? I have only one account-I tried the workaround- and I cant buy any tables

                  Sorry,forgot- First of all, it's ipad mini on ios 6.1. Now, the errors-it gives 2 actually-one is from ios side:"Your purchase could not be completed contact itunes store support to complete this transaction", the other one is from pinball side:"unable to purchase the table: Cannot connect to the itunes store" . I can connect to internet, access itunes store and buy apps btw. Thanks

                    Thanks for the details, I'll see what I can do. In the meantime you might try contacting Apple support, just in case it is something on their side.
