  • Any tips for sentinel battle on wolverine table?

I can't get to the wizard mode because of this pain in the ass battle. Any tips on hitting the ramps? The fact that i can't nudge pass (tilts) to get the ball on the optimal flipper doesn't help.

Post pass it instead. I take it the ball is coming down the in-lanes fast? You could loop pass it - just hold the flipper up and it should span the gap if fast enough. A lil flick at the end to help it. Or if it's down the middle a bounce pass - just let it bounce off a down flipper.

But a post pass is where you cradle the ball in the flipper and give it a quick pop and let go, it should travel to other flipper. Takes some practice and can be erratic.

I can't remember what the sentinel order is but I was just testing on the wolvie table and I can hold a ball **just** when it comes down the ramp lane on the left flipper. Or if it's just got a lil bit more speed than you won't, hammer the flipper exactly as it gets to the flipper from the inland and you can pop it up into the post under the slingshot bumper and it takes off some momentum too

Is a post pass when you trap a ball in one flipper and then make a quick shot so that the ball hits the bottom on the sling shot which transfers it over to the other flipper? I have trouble with that on the wolverine table . It usually causes the ball to travel up the other flipper's inlane and when it comes back down it is traveling a bit too fast and when i try to trap it will go back to the other flipper, drain down the center, or i will have to do a slap save to prevent the drain. I do use bounce passes but haven't tried the "loop pass" you mentioned. I will give that a go.

My main problem is hitting the left ramp (silver samurai ramp which locks the ball). I just can't seem to get the timing with the right flipper (when trapping it). I will either hit too early and send it up the center ramp or too late and send it through the loop to the sentinel head bumpers. Or it will hit the "f" or "a" targets that flank either side of the left ramp entrance. Sometimes i can do a really late right flipper shot when the ball is at the tip and it will bounce off the left slingshot an up into the left ramp or sometimes i can do an early left flipper shot to shoot it straight up into the left ramp, though both of these are a low percentage shots for me. Any tips other tips for hitting that ramp? I guess it just comes down to practice. I think i have i trouble hitting it because when i am making a right flipper shot i am usually aiming for the snikt to get the claw save or sending it through the loop to hit the bumpers and building up my bonus multipliers.

Yeah, that's a post pass. I just went in and tried it continuously. It is erratic on that table. Sometimes i nailed it. Very very quick light tap, though it did what you said a lot too. Theres always the flick option, but it's hard on zen. Just like a loop pass and Or attempted catch, where u give it a lil flick to help it jump to the other flipper if you think it's gonna drain.

I'm not a big fan of the Wolvie table. That left ramp can be a bitch.

I still haven't passed the sentinel battle but I have finally made it on to the wolverine leader board. I like the wolverine table because the claw save is easy to get as well as getting the 10x multiplier for free balls. But i agree the post pass is erratic on this table.
