I thought I would start an new thread for the Epic Quest table where we can share strategy and tips.
General impression of the table: My first impression was the table art is BRIGHT and there is lot going on. But basically the main objective of the game seems to be battling monsters.
Tips for obtaining spell: I initially had problems getting this because i couldn't make the upper left flipper shot. You get spells during the skillshots by doing a hard plunger shot that reaches the upper left flipper-> then a timed shot with the upper left flipper into the ramp that leads to the "orcarium" on the right side of the table (i think that is what it is called.")
There are four holes in the orcarium and each hole has a different spell (fire, ice, lighting, ?). The hardest part of getting the spell is timing the upper left flipper shot. I found it nearly impossible to time the shot in camera view 1 (the default view that seems to reset to this view after every ball and game; this is annoying). The camera zooms to the upper left flipper but it goes so fast that by time you see the ball it is too late to make a shot on that ramp. I found that before taking the skillshot, I switch to camera 5 view, which hides the plunger but when i make the plunger shot and it zooms to the upper left flipper region the ball seems to travel more slowly allowing you to make a better timed shot for the ramp to orcarium.
Right now I am not sure if it is better to go for loot or try to unlock a spell first during the skillshots. I am pretty sure that unlocked spells carry over from ball to ball. Right now, I try to unlock all the spells first and get loot by defeating enemies. I think you can get unlimited skillshots by either locking balls after defeating enemies or by hitting the "smash"? ramp with the boxes (between the left orbit and "Shield" ramp). Smash the boxes a couple times to reveal a drop hole which gives you another skillshot.
