  • ZP2 Mac OSX Downloaded Content is Corrupt, Please try again.

I recently purchased the Star Wars V table but every time I try to download it, after whizzing through the download percentage, I get the message "Downloaded Content is Corrupt. Please try again".

Help! Am I doing something wrong, are Zen having server issues, or has some error occurred which has "broken" the downloadable content. I dare not purchase any more tables in case it happens again.

Any advice or a refund would be nice!!

    Cheers

    Adam

Hi Adam- Have you tried either restarting or uninstalling/reinstalling the game? Let me know if that doesn't help.

Hi. Thanks for getting back to me.
Ok so first I've already restarted the App and Mac a few times and this hasn't helped.
I cant find any official way of uninstalling the app, so I just deleted the Zen Pinball 2 icon from the Applications folder, then opened the App Store, and re-downloaded and installed. I launched the App and the first thing I did was click on "Restore your in-app purchases". I get a "please wait" message which i did for about 5 minutes.....nothing.
I clicked cancel, closed and restarted the App again, clicked on "Restore your in-app purchases". (Interestingly the App Store asked me to enter my password twice before ZP2 starts to download anything!) This time I get a download message which hangs at 1% for about 15 seconds, while this is happening I notice in my firewall software download activity by the app. After the DL activity stops, the download percentage in the game races from 1% to 99% in a couple of seconds and I get the "Downloaded data is corrupt" message again.
I restart the whole machine and try again. Now here's the bizarre thing - THIS TIME when I click "Restore in-app purchases" the download percentage increases steadily and constantly without freezing at 1%. At 100% I get the all clear and the table plays fine.

Now you may ask, why report back in such detail if the download finally worked. I just hope Zen can learn from this in making the download of new tables a smoother process. Also I now know a steady and slow download percentage is likely to result in a successful table install.

Anyway. Love the table. Great stuff. I know have a little more faith in purchasing new tables in the future.

      Regards

      Adam

Indeed, as concerns new tables , or even the old zen classics such as Pasha etc, are they ever going to be available for Mac? And what about any new ones? It's been a very long wait.. THX

At the moment - I think we just have the next Star Wars tables slated for release on Mac, but I'll post news if we bring any others over.
