  • Saving a game on iOS.

If ZEN are to take the iOS platform seriouslly, they really need to program a "save" feature into the app.

Any serious player who wants to reach the dizzy heights of a top 100 place on any table, knows that you need at least an hour of gameplay to get there. Who has that much time available to them in one block?

Other platforms provide saving capabilities, why not iOS?

Please ZEN, if you are reading this, program game saving capabilities into the iOS app!

It would be much appreciated if Android were to get this also.

although on some days I'm perfectly capable of draining all 3 balls in 5 mins flat :-)

An official save feature would definitely be a nice addition. But, I will say that for games that I did not feel like completing in one sitting I was able to get around the lack of a save feature by just pausing the game and exiting the app. As long as I didn't exit the actual game I was playing in app or close the zen pinball app with the task manager, I was able to just finish my game later when I re-opened the app.

Unfortunately iOS closes (and resets) apps after a little while (about an hour), so when you relaunch the app it boots up from scratch again and you cant continue on from you last game. Are you using iOS Stewat?

Yup. I only play on my iPad. I've definitely intentionally not finished games because I had a high score and no internet and wanted to wait to finish the game once I had an internet connection again. With recent updates, that is not an issue anymore. But, I've never lost my data doing that. I don't know maybe I've been lucky.

And give me bloody nudge feature with my thumbs rather than shaking the ipad. It just doesn't work. The motion sensor is crap. Or a ever so slight bump tilts the thing. Like on a train, not even trying to nudge

Go to the options and adjust the sensitivity so you don't accidentally nudge and just use the touch nudging. The touch to nudge layout is not as varied and customizable as TPA, there is only one scheme, but it is better than nothing.

Ah... so it seems the Mac app is related to the iOS app. To reach a top score on a table such as Sorcerers Lair, one hour of play is not nearly enough. My longest game was on Tesla and over a couple of days I played for more than 24 hours until I got a trillion score and then I quitted. I would never get that right on the IPhone, but on the Mac it is quite possible. Either way, a save feature is desperately needed.

+1 for save game feature for iOS. I'll also throw in my yearly request for controller support as well. Kill 2 bird with one stone. Now time for the devs to ignore our yearly requests for feature parity across platforms. See ya next year Zen!
