I'm playing Zen Pinball on an iPad Air 2, and there is no sound. I understand the solution to this is usually to change the rotation lock switch to mute/unmute, but the iPad Air 2 has no switch on the side any more. How do I get Zen Pinball to have sound on this iPad?

Yes. iPad volume is turned up, all three audio sliders in the Zen Pinball settings are turned up, and Zen Pinball doesn't make any sounds - neither the interface nor the tables.
If I plug in earphones, the game plays sound just fine through the earphones. Remove them and it's silent again. Any other app (such as YouTube) can play sound over the speaker.Last edited by Brian Kendig; 04-22-2015, 12:23 AM.Comment

Thank you for the help so far - I believe I've figured it out, and I'm not sure whether or not it's a Zen Pinball bug.
If I enable the Mute button (the bell icon with the line through it) in Control Center (swipe up from the bottom of the screen), then Zen Pinball will not make any sound over the speaker in my iPad Air 2. Other apps will make sounds with this Mute enabled, though, and the iPad's volume buttons will still change the volume. The only thing this Mute button appears to have any effect on is Zen Pinball. I'm really not sure what this Mute button is supposed to be for. Same thing happens with my iPad Air 1, too.
The usual way to mute the iPad is to hold the volume-down button for a second, and that mutes all apps properly.
(This is on iOS 8.3, by the way.)Last edited by Brian Kendig; 04-23-2015, 03:05 AM.Comment
