  • Zen Pinball 2 on Apple TV 4

Where I love playing Zen Pinball 2 on my iMac and iPad, I have noticed it is excruciating on Apple TV 4. I have tried playing it with the Siri remote and have read negative reviews from other Apple TV 4 players using a SteelSeries Nimbus game controller.

The problem is a bad (Bluetooth) lag from the remote or game controller to Apple TV.

The game, for me, is unplayable. Sometimes, for example, the flippers flip several seconds late. Other times, they do not flip at all. This is an immediate show stopper for me.

Has anyone else seen this? And how can I report this to Zen personnel? They really need to fix this.

    Thanks!

Have you tried adjusting your TV input settings?

What do you mean "adjust your TV input settings"?

Exactly what are your referring to? Apple TV Settings? If so, exactly what input settings are your referring to?

The problem LAG is just as bad with the Siri Remote supplied with Apple TV 4.

What appears to be a bluetooth lag between the Siri Remote and SteelSeries Nimbus game controller are one in the same.

If the game will not work with either of these devices, the game is simply unplayable on Apple TV 4. These problems must be addressed and fixed. Otherwise, it is completely to release a game version for Apple TV 4 at all.

I understand what you are saying, but please try to adjust your TV's input settings (turn off/on any game modes, etc), it should help!

Set the television itself for game mode?

You are talking about the television itself, not Apple TV 4, right?

Yes. While there is nothing wrong with your TV, every TV model differs on how it processes this, so adjusting the input settings should help. We had this issue with the Nimbus in the studio, and we resolved it by doing just that
