Slowdowns / Crashes on iPadAir 2

Haven't played Zen for a while. Now I'm back only to realise that I have random slowdowns making the game unplayable. Usually these slowdowns end up into the app just shutting down itself. Ruined some new highscore for me.
Is that a known issue with version 1.39?

Running the iPad under the latest IOS.

Please help

The team is working on a fix for this, but in the meantime, playing offline should help.
