You can play with a friend easily. It doesn't matter where you are. You need to be in the game's main menu to send or recieve an invite.

There is pressure sensitivity in the game.The harder you push x, the harder it goes out from the plunger.The flipper sticks either use pressure sensitivity. i think this could be the problem....
