That's right ! I'm sure that's the reason the gameplay of PFX2 appears to be so soft, compared to a real pinball. I would be curious to see a video of button mashing on a real pinball (like 3 presses...

That's already the case : set it to "off" and you will never see these controls.

The challenge notification no longer overlaps with the DMD. But it now always occult the flipper in portait mode, see the screenshot. That's the same when the DMD is set to bottom left.

Also if...

The simple fact that the PC version support 1920x1200 and antialiasing is a big plus.
And then, the portrait mode. This is fantastic. Try it !

I agree that some tables are really over-the-top. I too prefer simpler tables (the Zen Classics and core packs are good examples).
I like some of the over-the-top tables, though (Ms. Splosion man)....
