I currently have 55 tables,so far,but yet to decide on what's the BEST and WORST from the tables available....

So for all the people,who have played FX3,and spent more time than I have...

Can you list your Top 5 BEST and WORST?

(This could be a good guide for others, on what's best to purchase..)

Not a big fan of the Star Wars tables at all

I have the Nintendo Switch version and only have 8 tables atm.

I will rank them from most liked to worst as i dont have enough tables to make a top 5 for both.

Best - worst :

Family guy - Colourfull table with many lanes yet table is clear and ball is almost always in sight, has a good amount of multiball triggers asl well.
Sorcerer's lair - Fun table, good amount of modes and secrets, bumpers can be anoying as it seem to love to downtrust the ball through the middle or left side lane.
Adventure land - Fun theme and love the idea of different attractions but objectives can be hard to finish. Icarus V minigame gets old fast and a reason i wont come back to this table as much anymore.
Son of zeus - Like the theme and modes and graphicley this table looks nice but its hard to keep track of the ball on this table as it cluttered and a grapichs make it hard to see the ball sometimes. The table suffers from slowndown as well on nintendo switch, the kickbacks seem broken on the table as they never seem to safe the ball. Allround a buggy table withto much going on for the tiny switch screen.
archer - Weird table yet somehow i like it , not to complicated but scoring big numbers seems hard on this table and feels it lacks some things to keep it intresting for long.
American dad - havent spend much time on this table yet but its seem cluttered and confusing, yet it seems to have a ton of modes and objectives which is a plus.
Bob's burgers - To many places the ball is out of sight and the balls loves to get to the outer side lanes to a unfair amount, modes dont seem to intresting table is boring quickly
The walking dead - Table doesnt feel intresting , you mostly will hit the walker and end up with a objective that doesnt seem to change the game to much.
There doesnt seem to happen to much on this table.

Its hard to pick a good top (depends on my mood) But I allways love these tables :

Sorcerer's Lair An easy to understand table. Biggest plus is the challenge how many times you can reach Wizzard mode.
Mars I love the atmosphere in this one. It reminds me of classic space movies like A Space Odyssey 2001. Getting the shots in time is often nerve-racking.
Spiderman Superb voice acting. Satisfying ramps, shots and missions. Also the funky and silly atmosphere contributes a lot to the fun.
World War Hulk Ramp / Loop galore. Period.
Aliens Again afantastic atmosphere and a very good table design.

Honorable mentions :

Rome, Caste Storm, Wild West Rampage, El Dorado, Star Fighter Assaullt, Plants vs Zombies (r.i.p.)

The not so great ones:

V12 Nothing but frustrating stots. The theme is not appealing either for me.
All of the FOXnet tables Cell shading and themes are not my cup of tea
Jaws Can't say why but i disklike it very much. Maybe it's the depressing theme or the huge amount of unconventional table items.
Secrets of the Deep A Slow and depressig table with an annoying top table.
Paranormal I prefer an open table.

I love these lists - seeing other people's top 5s or 10s often makes me go back to tables I might have misjudged, or it gives me an idea which ones to buy next.

I'm not a high-scoring player and learning the tables, getting better at the tables is an ongoing (enjoyably slow) process for me, so more experienced players will probably be better judges of overall table scoring systems, modes, etc. And I'm still missing some of the earlier tables and most of the star wars tables. Caveats aside...

Top 5

The Force Awakens - I feel like I shouldn't like this table, but I do. Very fast and fun.
Women of Power: Champions – This and Biolab have, if you ask me, the best sound design in the game. Sound and color overload keep me playing.
Mars - I wish more tables were a little less crowded, like this one. When I went back to it recently, it was a refreshingly unlike the newer tables.
Fear Itself - In Pinball FX2, this and Hulk were my most played tables. Something about the new look of the Hulk table has put me off, but I still play Fear Itself a lot.
Aliens - Just find myself playing it quite a lot.

Special place in my heart: Infinity Gauntlet, Fantastic Four

I guess I don't have any worsts, just some that I don't play much, and I can't say whether they're bad or not.

Simple question, tough answer. I find it really hard to precisely pinpoint 'bad' tables as i love them all. Some seem inferior but have unique features or themes that make them shine. However, at the end of the day, it is all about the fun and playability that counts. Computer tables can afford to be fundamentally different than their real counterparts in that regard as they don't need to be stingy and greedy to net money. Difficulty is there merely for challenging purposes and should never feel oppressive. So maybe the best criterium to rate tables is to first ask which ones *annoy* me most, for whichever reasons, keeping me from playing them. An honest answer to this will come naturally and reveal that the ones annoying least must therefore called the 'best', so here come my 26 tables, sorted best to worst:
Rebels, Han Solo, Mars, Wild West Rampage, Darth Vader, Sorcerer's Lair, Return of the Jedi, Droids, Castle Storm, Rogue One, Adventure Land, Starfighter Assault, The Force Awakens, Son of Zeus, A New Hope, The Walking Dead, Epic Quest, Paranormal, Excalibur, Earth Defense, Masters of the Force, Might of the First Order, El Dorado, V12, Tesla, Shaman.
Some tables need better mission balance (time, score). Others are let down by frustrating shots (narrow ramps, indirect targets). A couple are ruined by unnecessary vision impairment (camera and obstacles). Many tables are cluttered. A few tables are simply too fast. And finally, tables that combine those bad designs, are the least fun to play.

I have most of the zen tables (around 70)
Tough to narrow down to five but I'll try...

Wild West Rampage - love the old west theme, very challenging table. This is by far my most-played table. You have to keep your kickbacks alive because the ball finds those outer lanes a lot. Hitting the left sinkhole can be a very tricky shot. I feel like this table requires a lot of skill - miss your shot, and there are usually bad consequences.

Mars - I appreciate this table because it is very unlike any others. The challenge factor is not as great as some, but I love the mood and subdued effects. Cool moody music. I wish there were more tables like this (maybe in a space, ocean or arctic theme). One dislike is when you are limited to one or two shots to complete a mission, and can't really do much else until you finish, which means you can be held captive for as long as it takes to hit those shots.

Son of Zeus - A new table, but already a favorite. I feel that the Greek theme, voice acting, special effects and intuitive nature of this table result in a great combination that will keep me coming back to play this one. I love the voice acting in particular.

Avengers - Assigning unique looks and characteristics to six different balls was a master stroke. I like to try locking different combinations of balls to see the impact on scoring. It's a very fun, colorful table.

Might of the First Order - Tough call on my favorite Star Wars table. This one wins for me because it combines fast action, potential high scores and overall challenge. The ramps can be deadly if you don't get your ball all the way up. The kickbacks are not too easy to obtain, yet achievable. The stormtrooper walking in front of your ball/flipper is a cool animation, and a challenge as well. Nice graphic presentation and voices.

My five least favorites:

Tesla - Repetitive shot to get the short ball save makes this table very tedious for me. I'm generally not a fan of magnetic effects on tables, and this table has a big one on the mini-playfield.

V12 - This table's scoring seems really imbalanced. The marked combo shots can give you big points if you hit enough in a row, but almost nothing else seems to be worthwhile. I do think a newer car-themed table is due.

Deadpool - I think this table still has potential to be a good one for me. I just can't seem to figure out how to score many points, or even make my ball last for long. On the few times I've played it, it's been very difficult. I generally like tables that seem intuitive.

Rogue One - For a newer table, I just find this one kind of boring. Part of it is the repetitive nature of hitting the targets at the top of the table.

Paranormal - I've played it a couple of times, but don't really desire to play it again. I can't seem to figure out how to advance my score at more than a crawl.

I hate seeing v12 in the least favorite tables of so many when in reality if any of you had played it when it was first released in the original zen table releases you would have loved it, but then they changed the physics and you cant trap the ball and the ball doesnt go up the ramps smoothly anymore. I used to be able to play that table for hours saving in between and without exception amass billions of points and now barely a 100 million if even that on my best day. Zen made this table and it was brilliant then they mucked it up and now it no longer flows.

I like Return of the Jedi too but not as much as I love the other main episode tables.
Also, Son of Zeus or Adventure Land might push Deadpool off of the list in the future but not just yet.

I also think Portal is a great table. The reason that it’s not one of my favs is because of that mini playfield. It’s very hard but not in a fun way. You have to beat it three times to complete mission 2 and if you want to make the wizard mode a little easier on yourself, you have to remove the turrets by first hitting the bumpers a certain amount of times and then by playing that mini playfield again.

I love the normal table layout and I like the other missions and multi balls so I don’t want to spend that much time on a frustrating mini game that takes me away from all the good stuff.

As a newcomer to pinball fx3 I do not have that many yet, except the free sorcerer, Portal, and the three Alien. Today I just added Son of Zeus, Adventureland, and the two tables of the Force Awakens.

I think the more I get, the harder it will be to decide which is top 5. LOL

Oh My God! Where on earth did they get such high quality LSD which they apparently took when they created that table? Boy would I have loved to compose and record a more fitting music, complementing that LSD trip. Hmmm... Now wait...Now I know what's missing in the Zen List, a dedicated Timothy Leary table!

I really don't like Portal at all. I don't like the muted blue and grey colour scheme. Yes, i know that's how the main game is, but i prefer my Pinball to be colourful. Also, every mission feels the same, and the mini playfield is terrible and annoying.

It’s funny that there are a number of tables that are in both the top 5 and bottom 5 lists of different people. It shows that Zen does a good job of offering up tables with diverse play styles.

So, let's all agree. Those who think v12 sucks that v12 needs to be retooled and returned to what it was originally when it first came out. I promise all of you that v12 used to be a great table, but after the two different physics changes to the table now it is no longer even a good table. The changes made to the physics make it no longer flow and the ramps are almost impossible to hit. Make it work again Zen, like it used to.

I've never liked V12 in any iteration- the feel, music and vibe is just generic and boring. Maybe someone else here will speak up and say they like it as much as you do...

I don't find V12 to be a bad table at all..
The left ramp is a pain to keep hitting,and for me,the harder a table appears to be,the more I'm intrigued and motivated to keep trying it...

Obviously, opinions differ though.

Haven't posted in a while, so here goes.

Best 5 tables? as in score or just fav? either way...

1: Infinity Gauntlet - still miffed i didn't break the top 5 in that tournament a couple years ago so i could win those sweet slippers.
2: That Soccer Table - Too lazy to boot up the 360 to play this table. It's bar none one of my favorite marathon like tables. Every time i played it, guaranteed 2 hours spent on one game.
3: Fallout - Whoever beat my 1 ball challenge score that i put up soon after pbfx3 was released: i really hate you. I love the mechanics of this table.
4: Epic Quest - can get boring at times, but was always good at this table.
5: Fantastic 4 - pretty much every time i play this table i generally get to the wizard mode. Easily one of my most consistent tables.

worst tables/hate - I just never played well on these and i hate them all with every cell in my body.

1: Blade - any table that gives you a free ball for sucking brutally isn't a good table. Think the most i ever scored on this POS was about 35 million. Just horrid.
2: Excalibur - Always found this a weird table, odd angled shots. Terrible missions. Just horrid.
3: Rocky and Bullwinkle - For those that remember this table, uuuug.
4: v12 - Was this table just overly complex for the sake of complexity? Absolutely nothing on this table jived with me. The flow is bad, the cluttered screen is bad. The lack of routes/combos, bad.
5: Walking Dead - Guess i had to put a newer table on this list. As far as i'm concerned this table is tied with half of the star wars tables as well for just being weird/odd. I'm just terrible on this table. Nothing interests me at all on this and i'm just bad on it.

Yet, another v12 vote to the worst list. Zen, I am pleading for you to go back and see how this table used to flow when it was released and now after several updates and physics changes no longer functions as it was intended. Nothing like it used to be. I stand devout in my loyalty to this table knowing full well how it used to be. I can't play it for shit now. Havn't even tried to overtake the high score cause it just don't flow now and the speed of the ramps just suck. You have a table in your listing now that no one plays. It's like having 69 tables instead of 70 unless you return it to what it used to be.

It changes from time to time, but here are my top 5 and bottom 3 (the bottom 3 are the only ones I really have a problem with). I play primarily on iOS.

Top 5:
1. World War Hulk - love the fan layout and copious looping/comboing, the modes are hard but achievable, always something going on and has a really great feel/fun factor. It's fast but doesn't feel dangerous all the time.
2. Captain America - great aesthetics, shots are all achievable, easy to figure out but hard to master.
3. X-Men - I just love this one. It's an older table, but great feel and challenge, keeps me coming back. Some strange shots in the upper right area, really the whole right side of the playfield is a bit tricky.
4. Alien vs. Predator - great flow, look and feel. Fun missions.
5. Star Wars Rebels - I just love the aesthetic in this one as well, and it's a good shooters table. Missions are not that hard to start and fun to play.

Bottom 3:
1. V12 - as everyone says above, it's just clunky, scoring is nonexistent, and the shots are super hard to make. I have hardly ever successfully completed even one of the modes, the timer is just too short and shots too hard to make. I have to say, it's really intriguing to think that Zen could re-tune this table and make it fun - it honestly may have a lot of potential, it's a really nice looking table.
2. Shaman - actually a bit fun in the ramps, but just frustrating when it comes to drains, way too frequent straight down the middle drains coming from the sinkholes at the top (this may be a mobile tuning issue). It's also not the deepest table, or at least the deep parts activating disasters) is so hard to start that it's like a fluke when I get one lit up.
3. Secrets of the Deep - just boring. Super long ball times, not enough adrenaline.

I own all 40 Switch tables and played them all a lot, so tricky to pick my 5 favourites but here it is as of now:

1) DOOM - captures the atmosphere and style of one of my favourite game series ever perfectly.
2) Jurassic World - very challenging but extremely satisfying when hitting some big scores.
3) American Dad - hilarious, fun and challenging.
4) Earth Defense - best Zen table that I keep coming back to again and again.
5) Pasha - I could play this all day (and I have!). Endless fun.

As everyone else is doing their "Worst" list too, here's mine:

1) Archer - really can't get on with this and really annoying voiceovers.
2) Biolab - although it is fun sometimes, it is a bit too easy and the bgm is very repetitive.
3) The Walking Dead - I actually really like this table, it's just really unfair most of the time.
4) Jaws - very empty (intentional?) and so hard to get a high score (for me at least).
5) V12 - another very unfair table that's very clunky and not much fun.

Medieval Madness is one of the best Pinball tables ever. There is something for everyone in it. No matter if you are a pro or playing your first game there is something about taking down a castle that does not get old

Doom is a fantastic table! Its gritty and fun and the graphics are wonderful. Plays really well, and a big hit at parties.

Wild West Rampage and Sorcerer's Lair are both great easy playing tables for players of all skill ranges.

Mars... how it can be in my top 5? I have a cabinet at home, and when I have parties or family over there are a lot of people who have never touched pinball before. I consider this to be a super bare bones table and not intimidating. If you ever want to have someone learn how flippers work without much out this is the table to use

FAVOURITES
1) Ms Splosion Man (PFX2) My favourite PFX table. Love the cartoony robotic vibe, the colours are dreamy, and everything seems to really flow smoothly.
2) El Dorado (PFX3) The theme of exploring old temples is a winner to me. Love the music and the visuals. I'm still crap at it after all these years, but my PB score slowly gets better.
3) Walking Dead (PFX3) Love the dreary atmosphere, completely unique for a pinball table. Great sounds and visuals.
4) Plants vs Zombies (PFX2) The happiest pinball table ever. Fills my heart with joy. Wish I could live in this world.
5) Adventure Land (PFX3) All the fun of the fair! The different track loops and gimmicks dotted around are an absolute blast. Great fun. More like this please!


WORST
Any 5 superhero tables

First cantankerous, I wish I played V12 when it came out cause you make it sound really good.
It's one of those tables I really can't get into.
There are few tables I really don't like, but these are mine besides V12

Ghost rider
These are tables I really like. I've played through almost all the tables and there are some I just keep coming back to,

Han Solo, I love this table, and now it's broken because you can't lock the ball into the death star so no wizard mode. I really wish they'd fix this, it's the only table I have maxxed out the upgrades.
X-men. I love all the different modes on this table, so much to do and there's essentially 3 wizard modes.
Archer, I'm glad Zen made the achievement so hard on this game because I played it so much to get it and found out what a great table it is in the process.
Excalibur, I just keep coming back, I love this table, the theme, just everything.
Castle storm, when this came out it just hit me at the right time, it's a lot of fun.
There are several other tables I come back to time and again in no particular order, Pasha----Thor----Rome----Fear itself----Deadpool----civil war.
BTW someone mentioned South Park. I love those tables too, but they aren't on FX 3

Aliens - Great theme, feels like a story, love the loops, great mini games

Star Wars Trilogy - I know this is a cheat, but one of the biggest strengths is how they feel like a trilogy.




Bottom:
V-12 - It's on every bottom 5 for a reason.

The Getaway - I prefer the arcade feel to classic tables. Too many random scores.

Civil War - I have to play on mute, I hate the team build mechanic and the auto shot.

Junkyard - Feels like a mess. I hate the theme, hate the look and the feel, hate all of the cut aways. Plus I just prefer the arcade tables.

Shaman - Yuck.

Skyrim - I really enjoy the RPG mechanics
Solo - I ended up playing this one quite a lot

I don't really 'hate' any Pinball FX3 tables, I probably enjoy playing Junk Yard the least.

Hmm nearly 10 months after I previously mentioned my 'best' and 'worst' tables things haven't much changed. Maybe a few tables are added in and taken away here and there.

1. Still American Dad
2. Medieval Madness - Nice to see this added in until Monster Bash or No good Gophers come to PBFX2. I can't see Lord of the rings (my all time favorite table) coming to PFX3
3. Might of the first order.
4. Back to the future. -Pure fun
5. Fear Itself - Just love the targets you shoot at in various modes.

Worst

V-12 - It's just not worthwhile to me
Vader - too many hurry ups the modes are challenging (That's good) and could possibly score more points but why do it with all the hurry ups abound.
Pasha - Still don't know what I have to do.

• Star Wars: Starfighter Assault - So many fun modes, full of setting flavor
• Wolverine - Maybe a more "simple" table than others but that makes me understand it more
• Fantastic Four - Lots of cool modes
• Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Indifferent on the setting but can resist all the fun built into this one
• X-Men - Lots of variety, can play for a long time and still see new things

Worst

• V12 - Everyone else has already said it
• Shaman - Almost as bad as V12
• Biolab - This has some interesting modes but it's not much fun to play the main table
• Earth Defense - I've never been able to quite "get" what I'm doing on this one
• Venom - Strange table layout and I hate the fact that it basically makes nudging required

Honorable Mention

• Avengers - Love all the differently styled balls, they should do this more often
• Star Wars: Droids - Fun modes and setting flavor
• Thor - Another "simple" table like Wolverine that's just fun to play
• Captain America - Cool modes
• Civil War - I used to hate this one but either they fixed it or it clicked with me, now it's cool with a very in-depth setting/story

Dishonorable Mention

• Deadpool - The humor is grating and the modes lackluster
• Avengers: Age of Ultron - This one looks pretty but I can't get a grasp on long-term goals for this table
• Boba Fett - Also have trouble understanding this one, and it's too easy to lose the ball through the right drain
• Paranormal - It feels like there's not much to do on this table most of the time, unless you get it into the vertical sub-table.
• El Dorado - Horrible voiceovers and unclear table goals.

For example I didn't realize there was a flipper right above the left outlane in V12. All I remembered was the ball constantly drained down the left side.
So thanks to a few videos I skimmed through and the great guides that are posted here I have been playing both.
Secrets is actually pretty good and I am now really liking V12.
It's a hard table, but I've found that if I follow these rules when playing, I do pretty well.

As the person with 2 wr's on that table let me shed a little more light regarding my own specific tips. First I prefer the faster game types like survival, but have a game over a billion on single player so I'm ranked in top 10 or better and have the single ball record. As you said, take your time and always light the kick backs. A third shot lights ball save. You can get a shit ton of extra balls. I don't recall exactly, but 6?? I'm sure if any previous zen table is an example that this may be exploited to be endless. I remember before they changed the physics from zen pinball to zen pinball 2 you could get 3 extra balls on each ball. In game modes like 5 minute and survival stack your upgrades. Suspension can be started if the shots are accurate within 20 seconds and I can do this at the start of the game about 50 percent of the time. Watch my videos to see how it is achieved. Honestly, If I don't do it perfectly I just reset over and over and over again until I nail it. As you said, always keep the left flipper depressed as anything approaches that lane. Turbo is a bitch and as such I have never wizard moded this table. Extra balls are only achieved by maxing out your speed then awarded at upgrade hole. The crankshaft upgrade is not that hard. To hit the button on either the left or right you want to catch the ball on the respective flipper and just do a quick flip where you don't fully hit the flipper and it will, if done correctly hit the button and pass to the other flipper where you can repeat................It's takes practice and I rarely can achieve the upgrade without several tries. You'll likely never fully upgrade the tires as it continues to go up with the final one taking over 100 as I recall.....................it's a horrible table to try and wizard with likely less than 5 people excluding me who have ever achieved it.

BTW, tires is 10, 20, 30, 40.... That's the highest I've gotten. Now I've also gotten to all other upgrades complete except for manifold level 4 still, but that's easily doable.
761 million is now my best.
Found 2 other things that made this table easier.
First, I use view 2 so I can see that upper flipper and now turbo shot is much easier, I can usually max out that every game now.
Second, I try to stack upgrades instead of going for them as soon as I can. Upgrade multiball was losing my kickbacks and I was losing the ball a lot that way, so I get as many as possible before upgrading.
Are you on PS3-4 or PC or are you using a different gamer tag? I'm playing on xbox one. I'm using the same name as I am here.

If you still play this table recently, you can get a much higher mulitball score by switching your upgrades to multiball score. Mine jumped way up like that.
I also use rewind instead..... cause I need it....I would rather use the score booster.
Also I just got the top score on the 1 ball challenge at 546 million.

My personal TOP 5 across all three games, in no particular order:

Epic Quest
Funny, makes you feel like you're good at pinball, and has a unique mechanic that means you're constantly building higher scores game after game.

Plants Vs Zombies
Really fun missions and hurry up modes, and just looks gorgeous.

Mars
Big and open with great music and fun modes, and a great theme overall

Skyrim
The level of detail in this table is insane. Most stuff from Skyrim is in there, from the main quest to collecting the materials for crafting

Aliens
From the sound bytes to the table flow, the missions to the animations, it's a killer table

My personal BOTTOM 5 across all three games, in no particular order:

Shaman
I hate everything about this table, from the shots you have to make to the audiovisuals

Biolab
Don't enjoy the flow, the setup or the look

Jaws
The table rocking does my head in

The Empire Strikes Back

Just boring, and the speeder Mini game is plain stupid. Should have been a video mode.

Even though I currently have the 1ball challenge record, I put little stock in it since it and every other 1ball challenge or any game mode that allows you to save is easily cheated. I much prefer my survival challenge score. Congrats on your number 1 though

So I've not posted here in years maybe?

Howdy all (to those that remember me).

I've gotten back into PBFX recently (I went a bit down the real pinball route).

Whilst I own almost all of the tables on xbox360 (I know, old at this point!) and have over the years re-purchased them on Steam, I can't say I have played that many for any considerable time. So here's my top 5 ranked by the fun I had playing them either at point of release or through revisits.

Quick note, I am 100% not a starwars guy, it was around that time that I stopped playing pbfx2, I also began to suffer the Marvel fatigue like most people did when Marvel felt like the only tables we were getting.

all that said I did really like the early Marvel Tables as you'll see:

• Spider-man - This table is one of the first that I got truly addicted to. The wizard mode took me around 20 hours of playtime to get to, and even then another 10 hours to actually beat once I was able to get there. I remember the thrill of finally completing a table and being just singularly focused. As table selection was a lot lower at this point (maybe 10-15 total? with the first Marvel pack) it was far easier to just focus on one table and not get distracted. I loved that you can trigger multiple modes at once, and all the shots felt fun and flowed well. Even if it's been outdone design wise (and I think game's go too long on Spider-man now) it's still an iconically addictive newbie friendly table with really fun boss battles.
• Iron-Man - Kind of my white whale. To this day I have never gotten to the wizard mode on this table. I've been very very close several times, but I always just end up draining balls down the side or centre after hitting the main mission targets, even with ball save active I feel this table is a drainer. But I think that's why this is a table I just gravitate toward, with the vein hope that one day... I'll clear it.
  
• Pasha - Holy heck is this table boring... until it isn't! The mini playfield and modes are really difficult to open and play, the oasis shot can be a nightmare to hit and overall this table just feels really clunky to play, until you get it. Once you start being able to consistently hit the annoying shots and start the modes, there's so much to do on this oddly short but wide table that it just ends up having a really nice flow. Mechanically it's probably severely out-of-date but to new fans, don't skip this one, it's great if you are looking for a table with fun stuff hidden away.
• Thor - This was my second 'Iron Man' table (which I think it's from the same designer?). I came very very close but never quite able to conquer the wizard mode, but I really just like the ramp shots on this. Unlike Iron Man which has some harsh drain bounces, Thor feels very fair. It's a very high skill table with missions that require oddly specific shots i.e. set ball on fire to then melt ice etc. I think that's what makes Thor flow so well for me personally.
• Epic Quest - Epic Quest's combo heavy playstyle (literally with the attacking and defending) and clever spells and inventory mechanics really spoke to me. The table is a bit gimmicky given that you have to level up to beat the final boss and complete it over multiple runs but the table has lots of cool gadgets to bounce off and bonuses to unlock. It has loads of hittable targets and variety, and most ramps all lead to different weird areas, all with their own mini 'toys'. The voice clips can get a bit tedious but the table itself is a true delight to play and whilst I don't have much desire to replay the whole adventure after my several hours with it and beating it, I do very fondly remember falling in love with this table akin to when I first played Spider-man.

Two Honorable Mentions: Mars and Fantastic Four.

Mars just went on too long. Most missions took a while to complete but the game wasn't hard, just a bit tedious. All that said, it's one of my most played tables of that era, especially out of the Zen original tables. It's very urm... 'zen'-like (for lack of a better term).

As for FF, I think it's a table I would have really loved if I gave it the time but despite buying the pack, I was still invested in some of my other favourites and thus never got round to playing it in any depth.

The less detailed top 5 worst tables:

• FX Classics - Cheating a bit but I just don't enjoy these tables.
• Excalibur
• Rome
• Secrets of the Deep
• Wolverine

Whilst not a bad table I'll also add a most disappointing table: Ms, Splosion Man. Simply because I literally completed it the very first time I played it and ended up draining balls on purpose to end the game. This table was just way too easy.

All that said, back to trying to beat Iron Man!

It seems that this is no longer the case. Either there is no longer wizard mode or they changed it.
For me what happens is I needed to make another upgrade, then hit the upgrade hole and do the upgrade multiball. The table never resets, you can just keep doing this and keep getting upgrades and playing multiball at maximum score. For example, you need to hit 10 shots in crankshaft to get the upgrade hole lit, if you don't hit 10 in the same run you don't get it. Suspension is the same, not exactly what turbo is to light this, and tires seem to be 10 more hits.

I'd love to see a video to help me to understand better. I have max upgraded various components without upgrading them all and I know that once done it merely gives you 5 million without the upgrade (multiball). Did you happen to max out xtra balls? What did you get? I usually only get 5 extra, but was certain I got more once, but did not record it at the time.

Here it is, took a whole day to upload for some reason.
I got 2 extra balls, I usually don't do well getting them but got 2, 1 right after the other.
Also many times it didn't even give me the 5, 10 or 20 million after getting new upgrades, it just gave more opportunities for multiball. About 1 in 3 gave me the 5,10, or 20 million.
Also it is 50 times up those 2 lanes to upgrade tires and you can get them in combos as long as you only hit either of those lanes one after another. If you hit a different lane you have to wait again.
