What kind of theme would you like in the future?

    Just mention 3 themes please!

    I'm up for:

    - Dracula-like theme, with a castle you can shoot and enter (Paranormal is too different)
    - Circus
    - Magic/Illusions

Sorry Lukky, I can imagine why you've restricted to 3 ideas, but I can't help it:

    Heavy Metal
Think 80's metal like Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Judas Priest etc. Lots of potential here for some nice imagery, such as electric guitars and drums, sound effects like big meaty riffs and modes like battle of the bands, tours etc. You could have a tour bus, a jet and all that, like the career in Rock Band etc. Thrill the fans, fill a "fan meter", complete the gig, and progress through the stages of your career to reach the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame!

    Circus/Fun Fair
I imagine something dirty, but extremely colourful, like Moxxi's Underdome in Borderlands if anyone's seen that. Creepy and grimy, but with flashing lightbulbs and neon signs of every colour. Dark, weather-beaten wood and brass construction. An assault on the senses. Game modes could be sideshow attractions like you get at the fun fair, such as the shooting range, coconut shy, dunk tank, hook-a-duck and the test your strength machine (hit the target with the ball as hard as you can - try to ring the bell).

    Soccer
I'd like something like Baseball too, but I think Soccer has wider worldwide appeal. You could have penalty shoot outs, tournaments etc. Hitting targets or shoot ramps in a certain order to make passes (Defender, Midfielder, Forward for example) to score a goal. Progress through a knockout tournament to win. Lots of crowd noises, cheering, chanting and (dare I say it), Vuvuzelas.

    Casino
This has so much potential. Lots of colourful, Vegas-like glitz, glamour and swank, like a Sonic the Hedgehog casino zone. That bombastic music that evokes thoughts of riches and decadence. Spinners like casino chips. You could have a sub table which is a roulette wheel, under the main playfield for example (like Nightmare Mansion), or up in the corner - you could hit targets first which light Black or Red, Odd or Even etc, then shoot the ramp into the roulette wheel and win points based on the result. Other potential modes which would work great are Blackjack and Fruit Machines. You could spin a fruit machine every time to launch a new ball, perhaps even with the ability to bet your current points on it! Use the flippers to decide how much to bet.

    Games Tie-ins
Something else I've always thought would be great is games tie-ins. I think it would be great if the big publishers would commission or license tables based on their big new games. A Halo table, a Gears of War, a Call of Duty table, an Assassin's Creed table... you get the idea. Like the Streetfighter II table, but for, to celebrate, and to help promote, new and upcoming games.

They already make themed cars for Forza 3 for every big games release, gifted to every VIP member of Forza. I got a Halo Reach one, a Crackdown one I think, a Game Room one, a Toy Soldiers one... I know that a pinball table is a million times more work, but it's also a million times more fun, and most importantly, monetised. I'd certainly spring for them nomatter what the game they represent, let alone for a game I love or am exited about getting. I'm sure Microsoft could afford to pay for a Halo or Gears table to be made for example. They'd be getting some of that money back too, directly, as well as the effect that the marketing would have.

Zen Studio: "make" tables and sell them for profit. Including a coffee machine of course.

1: Casino: Played a board once with poker, slots roulette and stuff.
2: Sci-Fi: Something like Pinbot maybe.
3: Business management: Manufacture, sales etc.
4: Norse mythology: Give us a big fat hammer.
5: City sim: Like Sim City where you have to build stuff and put out fires etc.
6: Run for president: Jackpot could be the number of votes you get.

I only have one that I was thinking of earlier today:

          Lives of the Great Artists
Paint the Sistine Chapel, build an ornithopter, and cut off your ear!

            time wigneer

sexy/stripper/spearmint rhino/playboy type theme - a grown man that likes sexy women and pinball so this would be good.
'shoot the loop for t*** and a**!'

more game licenced tables.i think street fighter is one of my faves so far.

i read about thread about realistic vs videogame pinball in the table design.
i'd like a table that is really realistic in function and parts (and efects or lack or there of) but so big and grand and complicated that it could only be made in a video game.

i'm surprised they havent tried to get any deals for tables based on an upcoming movie blockbuster.
it could be a good way for the movie to advertise.
            eg
            TRANSFORMERS3 the pinball

post apocolyptic theme eg fallout or terminator.
tranquil gardening theme ie nice mellow harp sounds and a soothing voice for sample fx
            nerdy computer theme
            pets/cats and dogs theme

finally: a crazy totally unrealistic table with loads of totally impossible features
like mini games that you would get on the dot matrix (eg driving) being done with actual video game graphics and stuff like that.

What I want most is what is coming in the future, a Marvel Comics table with the most iconic heroes displayed....Spider-Man, Hulk, Captain America, Dare Devil, Iron Man, the Fantastic Four, the Avengers and X-men. Squeeze them in some how!

A Halo themed table, a Left 4 Dead table and a Fable table.

Ozzpot, that table would be BRUTALLY EPIC. I would buy that one in a second.

                Some Other Ideas:
                - Sky Pirates (like crimson skies)
                - Steampunk
                - World War 2
                - Maybe work with Microsoft/Bungie on a Halo table?

I would love to see a back to the future or mortal kombet table. Either of those would be pretty sweet. If the back to the future one is made you could do the clock ower incident which would be pretty awsome to see on a pinball table!

If we're on the subject of movie tie-ins, Back to the Future would be awesome, but most of my favourite movies growing up in the eighties would make superb pinball tables, but especially; The Goonies!

The goonies would be pretty cool to see on here. Hell I would be happy with either the goonies or back to future. The would make a cool table for pinball.

It would be cool to see a Safari themed table with gorillas, lions, and hostile natives, elephants maybe.

Wouldn't mind seeing some sort of dinosaur themed table either. You could do some things with skeletons, or dinosaurs or tar pits or what not.

Might be neat to see some sort of monster truck or demolition derby themed table as well.

1/ a movie set / film lot themed table. With lots of stunt based challenges.

2/ a prehistoric theme.... Cavemen getting away from the dino's and all that.

3/ a Tenacious D Table.... where Jack and Kyle have to escape from the devil

A Joe Satriani table sounds cool, if a little esoteric. I'd certainly buy it! I'm thinking of the "Surfing with the Alien" album (my favourite) reimagined as a pinball table (so it might appeal to Marvel fans too!). A lot of the songs on that album would make great pinball music. Maybe different tracks play for different game modes.

Here's some more of my ideas:

                              Venice
I'm thinking of classical, 15th-16th century Venice. Maybe I've been playing Assassin's Creed 2 too much! Italian Renaissance or Masquerade ball styling, ramps like Canals and Gondolas to transport the ball from one place to another maybe. Leonardo Da Vinci inspired contraptions to manipulate the ball. Modes to include the Bonfire of the Vanities etc.

                              Vikings
Hordes of Viking Gold. Viking Gods like Thor - just like the robot in Earth Defense shoots his laser gun, Thor could slam his hammer down. You could have a mode where you have to set the ball on fire, and then set fire to, and launch, a viking longboat, like in a viking funeral. Other modes for looting and pillaging, maybe archery etc. The ultimate aim could be to reach Valhalla.

                              Candy Store / Candy Factory
I'm inspired by Charlie and the Chocolate Factory here I guess. A more light-hearted table, lots of colour and movement. Imaginative and bizarre machines making candy, ramps like conveyer belts to drive these machines maybe, targets to start or stop them. Ramps like hollow candy canes, spinners like lolly pops.
