Default Overhead images for FX 1/2, Marvel and ZEN Tables

ZEN or Marvel Please don't shoot me!!! I used screen capture and a stitching programme to put together these images for the Marvel, Pinball FX 2 and also ZEN Pinball tables.

I have been looking for overhead images for each table (so that I can print it out) for quite a while so I am quite chaffed with this. Solitude increased this threads jpg limit to 500kb so I was able to upload decent quality images that are close in quality to the originals. Hopefully ZEN will find it in their hearts to one day bless us with the HD images for the tables... one day...

As new tables are released, I will add their images to the thread.

The images are posted throughout the thread so for convenience sake use the following links:

Which reminds me... is R&B a good table? I've been itching for a new one, and that's the only table I haven't bought yet.

I'd rate it down the bottom of the pile, along with Speed Machine.

Both machines have slingshots from hell, with the ball continually being thrown in to the outlanes. So it's a grind-fest of hitting ramps and lighting up CAKE. Tedious, and annoying.

Ugh... Just once, I'd like a table with no outlanes whatsoever. Those things are probably the most frustrating thing about pinball. If I screw up and the ball slips between the paddles, fine. But I hate hate HATE losing a ball through no fault of my own.

I know what you mean, those things are a pain... That's why you have to get good at activating the kickbacks and/or ball save constantly.

Also about R&B, definitely not my favorite or anything, but there is some fun to be had on it. Its also the highest scoring table out right now, mostly due to a ball holding glitch, but even without it, it isn't hard to score a 100 million plus... Complete the collection and pick that one up

Since the fx 2 core/marvel tables I haven't played any of the older tables except for Excalibur and Earth Defense and I don't think that I will ever again as new tables come out etc. The quality, layout and skill required on the new tables is just miles better than the original tables - no draw card for me any more. So, in my opinion R&B is not worth getting as it won't ever get loads of game time with all these other amazing tables around (and new ones hopefully sooner than later)

I think that's really just part of pinball. If it wasn't for them the game would go on forever until your eyeballs were bleeding.

That's what rocky and bullwinkle feels like to me. I prefer them a little unforgiving. That's what I love about wolverine you have to keep the ballsave and other features going in order to get a half decent score.

I used to hate the outlanes in excalibur but I don't see it as a problem since the physics upgrade.

I didn't like spiderman at first but one I'd got used to the fact that the game will go on for ages and it's more about making the biggest shots you can within the time I began liking it again.

I still love nightmare mansion and agents. Nightmare mansion is a lot more forgiving now and I can get to the wizard mode twice in a game now.

Personally the only table I don't like is R&B it just gos on forever. I'm not too keen on buccaneers either any more. Both these tables can be played for hours without losing the ball.

Speed machines is still fun but as people have pointed out the spinner shot and slingshots are a pain.

I guess it depends what you want. Personally I'd love a go on the zen pinball games as I have a PS3 with a broken blu ray but it doesn't like my monitor. It looks like tesla is based on the shadow which is a really unforgiving machine. I'd love to see how that has translated.

Yeah, I know. I was mostly just venting. Though I do wonder sometimes what it would be like if they set out to make the easiest pinball table ever.

Spider-Man, I warmed up to. It's the Iron Man and Wolverine tables that are my arch-enemies. I like them quite a bit, but they can be very tricky.

Sorry for the late reply mate, I think R&B is enjoyable for me more for the theme, rather than the table itself. I loved the R&B cartoons when I was a kid

Like others have said, it is easy, and it is a grind fest. You do play the R&B table differently, by always trying to get CAKE before going for points (read: ramp combos). Side note... CAKEs new album is awesome LOL

What would be your solution for a permanent location... I wouldn't mind uploading it if there a suitable solution, or... ZEN could just make it available on the forum just like they did with the Marvel music wink wink

Nice work! I'd be happy to host the HD versions, if they can't be hosted officially. PM me if you are interested and we can work out the details.

Glad you guys find this useful. I have now uploaded pretty decent quality images for all the tables.

Thanks, but I think the quality I have uploaded now is good enough - same size and quite close to the original quality from the ZEN/FX 2 web-sites.

OK, you asked nicely!!!! I'll get to all of the tables, but please don't expect them soon as it takes a bit of time, unless... Solitude/crackervizzo, won't you pretty please lobby the powers to be at ZEN to please make the original images available I would really be grateful as it would save me a load of time in recreating something that already exists on somebody's hard-drive

Nice, is this the original resolution or did you have to scale it down?

If it was a bit bigger, you could practically flip it and have a nice desktop wallpaper

Don't think you're only doing it for me ... i pointed this thread to many pinball players, guide writers etc ... all are praising your efforts
So ... what do i want next you ask ? Anything will do ... the goal being of course having a complete collection of all zen related material as long is doesn't interfere with your leaderboarding

Same size as the original and a bit lower in quality but decent enough to make out the writing and features.

I'm rockin the R&B pic as the wallpaper on my phone. Is anyone else using these pics on their phones? If so, which table?

Friends of mine who are doing table guides use them for illustrating strategies ... i have them downloaded on my archos tablet and use them to get a better comprehension of the rule sheets when i start to 'work' on a table ...

Great work cloda, looking at all the overhead images imo Buccaneer looks the best shame i find when playing the table the sound esp the lack of speech and fx let it down.

Thanks for those, Cloda! How awesome does Tesla look!? The steampunk vibe and all those bronze tubes/rails (how are they called properly?) are pretty amazing. I'm really envious of the PS3 and Zen Pinball owners, they've got some great exclusive stuff - watched short reviews of all the core ZP and DLC tables on YouTube a while ago.

I've given up for a while. I did Pyramid mission well over 20 times in the last game; it wore me down!

While Looking at the overhead images for the fantastic four table, I can't get over the fact that it looks a lot like the Iron Man table. Almost the same layout. Which is to bad because I really didn't like the Iron Man table much.

There are similarities indeed, the center drop targets, and the 2 ramps left of 'em, but there are lots of differences if you look at it. The mini orbit, the mission hole, the Baxter hole, etc... And I'm sure it will be totally different feeling shooting the lanes on FF.

    Default Captain America

Captain America's image is available on the Marvel Pinball Site.

For now find attached a zip of a low quality image of the table. I'm having problems uploading the image but will do so as soon as the problem is sorted out.

Shouldn't this be a sticky or at least added to the sticky strategy guides? Thanks.

    Thumbs up You: my hero

I've been doing the exact same thing.
I like having something I can refer back to and add notes on, like diagrams and figures from textbooks, but it seems no one's really taken the time to make one. (I don't mean just printing the image, I mean full on map mode: labels, steps, etc)
So I've decided to do it myself, by hand.
And although I'm a pretty good at drawing, I suck at proportions and measurement, so these overhead shots will be extremely helpful in assuring accuracy in my self-made "blueprints"
You just saved me from hours of search engine hell!
I'm throwing confetti of thank-yous in your direction as we speak
