Thread: Early 90's Williams music de-syncing

Default Early 90's Williams music de-syncing

This only affects Fish Tales and Getaway, but this might be useful for other games with this soundboard should you include them in the future.

The music eventually re-syncs, but the videos below give a good idea.

Fish Tales -- Bumper hit during multiball.

Getaway -- Light a Lock, have the display read "LOCK IS LIT"

if the real game does this, then the simulation should too.

I was going to report this as well. As far as I know, this doesn't happen on real machines.

Thank goodness it isn't just me!

Anyway, I looked at the real thing and on Visual Pinball as well. This isn't supposed to happen.

Pinball Arcade technically doesn't count, since audio was recorded instead of emulating the audio itself.

Almost all of the SS tables are ROM emulated in Pinball Arcade. Only a couple of SS tables in season 1 and 2 were scripted. This was confirmed in an interview with Bobby King (Farsight co-owner)..

Yeah, it's true that they ROM emulated the games. But my point still stands that they most likely used a different method for audio.

The videos really confirm this, nice. I'm told the programmers are trying to find a solution for this.

Well that's weird, I tried editing a typo and the page glitched out and deleted my post...
