Default Related but a different direction

I'd seen an earlier post in this thread about a poll that listed Hulk, Captain America, and Ghost Rider as possible future titles (and showed Fantastic Four receiving the least amount of votes). What about other heroes, like Deadpool or Cyclops (two of my faves, along with GR), or having all the Avengers or X-men on a table?

I wouldn't mind seeing DC heroes get their own tables (if all the logistics can be worked out). Batman, Green Lantern, Justice League, Nightwing would be some of the ones I'd get.

It's the 18th now here! I hope when I get up later the table will already be available. The review makes me looking forward to it even more, sounds very nice even though I'm kinda sad and worried that my favourite view 4 differs from what it usually is like.

Yeah I too am ready for the table. Don't get me wrong, I'm stoked for the DLC. I could've sworn that F4 was in dead last in the Marvel poll. I specifically voted for Cap and Ghost Rider. Here's hoping for future for a Captain America table.

I bet the license was too expensive with the movie approaching in mid July.

Its almost time for the table to come out. But unlike last time with Mars, I cant see it as an option on the front menu of the game itself, and nor can I see the acheivements for it.

Captain America will be the next Marvel table released--my guess is in July to coincide with the summer blockbuster. Paranormal may be available in June.

Zen has the license to Marvel's entire catalog.

That's an amazing bit of info that I didn't know. Cheers. Seeing as you seem to have a bit of inside or indepth knowledge. Any truth to the rumour that there may be Star Wars themed tables in the next year or so?

You mean the Jar Jar Binks table?

Last I heard there was a delay since Lucas is reluctant to authorize the use of Jake Lloyd's voice samples (he's too old to do new ones).

I listened to an online interview with a Zen rep where he hinted that Star Wars themed tables were a possibilty. If it is a Jar Jar Binks theme then I am seriously underwhelmed about the prospect. Even if it the best pinball table known to man, Jar Jar Bink's voice would put me off it. He's so annoying. Maybe it's for the best if Lucas is reluctant to release the audio samples. What's wrong with making a theme for each of the ORIGINAL movies. That would be awesome. Cheers for the replay anyway, Blue.

I don't know why people are talking about table ideas ago but Ill do it too anyways:

    1. Captain America (must have Marvel)
    2. Hulk (Must have Marvel)
    3. Ghost Rider (sketelons, fire, bikes and heavy metal/hard rock is classic theme)
    4. Daredevil&Elektra&Luke Cage&Iron Fist (NY street punks combined)
    5. Ms. Marvel (Top Marvel single girl needs her own table)
    6. Doc Strange (Magic is another classic theme)
    7. X-Men Cyclops, Storm, Colossus, Iceman, Jean Grey, Rogue, Nightcrawler, Bishop, Cable, Gambit, Psylocke (Yea Wolverine might be in league of his own but not the others)
    8. Thor (MOVIE nuff said)
    9. Silver Surfer&Sentry&Nova (Space and pawning woo)
    10. Venom vs Carnage (classic and villain)

and ultimate alliance table featuring big group of heroes and villains (maybe only characters not seen on other tables: Moon Knight, Spiderwoman, Sandman...)

Oh feedback: meh I don't really care about the license and the table isn't anything superawesome either. It's not bad either

Good thing too. Wasn't it Star Wars: Episode 1 that was the last Williams table ever made? Might be a cursed pinball license

Aww that's a shame. That crackervizzo, he's such a naughty minx.

Especially on the Jar Jar one.
    This, however, is excellent news.

To be fair to Williams, I don't think they could have anticipated just how much Lucas would screw things up with Ep 1. And pinball was dying quickly anyway...

I finally completed the Wizard Mode (Galactus battle) yesterday, It was quite long and I did have a few scares in which I could have lost the ball but I managed to complete it.

Its always nice to beat the Wizard Mode on first try, well thats the Fantastic Four table beaten now to increase my highscore.

    Anyone else beat Galactus?

    Default Voice Acting

Hey there, new to the forums.

How is the voice acting on this game compared to other Marvel tables? I found the other Marvel pinball games hit or miss with the voices. With Wolverine having the worst voice (sounding more like a deep Radio DJ) and Spider-Man (the character not the entire table) having the best voice so far.

Maybe they will release a table near one of those 2 big Marvel Movie releases... I mean we got Xmen First Class and Cap coming in both June and July so surely a table will come out to milk the films hype.

What? I didn't do no such thing. You think because they share the same information that its a copy, how to complete a mission is just what it is. Of course with all guides there will be many things which are similiar because how to do something is the same. Like to open the light you have to flick the switch how can someone write that so that its not similiar to the main point in which I was making in the first place?

It is hard to argue the point when your guides (Such as the Mars 360 guide) contains mistakes because of the changes made between the PS3 and 360 versions. For instance, StevieJ's guide for Mars contains the lines
"The other important note is that this table only allows TWO nudges before it will TILT. This is particularly devious due to the first note. They really wanted to make this table tough! The first nudge will display the word "DANGER" all in CAPS and the second nudge will display the word "danger" in bigger font, but all in lowercase...lol You will also hear a voice saying "Watch Out!" the second time. "
You reference the same glitch...however, it never appears in the 360 version.

And when parts of "your" guides are wrong, it makes it worse. For instance "Once you get SNIKT spelled, you can now lose the ball 5 times and it will be saved..."
The claw save will ONLY save the ball once after it is lit.

Anyway, I am not in the business of proofreading stuff Zen posts on their site or tracking down who is plagiarizing what, I just know what jumps out at me.

I would like to say sorry for the madness yesterday, please note im redoing the Marvel Guides. Regarding the Mars guide, I have seen that DANGER glitch thigy on the 360 version... call me a liar but Ive seen it.

I was merely piecing bits and bobs to create an all round guide but I went overboard on the Marvel Guides.

Man its great that he done it but that is tough to watch and SHOULD NOT be used as an advisory video. This guy winged his way through and he takes WAY too many risky shots that don't need to be taken. He is obviously a decent player but could be much better if he learnt to control the ball. There were so many times when he could have just bumped it to the other flipper and slowed everything down.

edit- I watched it again and my "he just winged it" comment is a bit much, because even though the ball was mostly out of control, he was still aiming at certain shots. I stand by my comments though that this guy could be much better if he made getting the ball to a stop a priority. There were even times where he could have trapped the ball and took a set shot rather than a running shot that is alot riskier and less accurate. Also times where the ball comes flying down an inlane, where it can't be caught and stopped, its possible to "up" bump very softly and not activate the tilt. This is great for getting a fast ball stopped quickly and still keeps your 2 tilt warnings in reserve in case you still need to pass.

I commonly shoot the mission hole in order to do this. However, I'm not at all sure how to hit the left orbit (loop) in a manner such that the ball dies just past the spinner so the Torch ramp can be hit soon after. The only catch is, you have to avoid hitting the Baxter building prior to or during this sequence, otherwise the mission hole will light, and you'll be subject to starting a mission sequence upon hitting it.
