Does Fargo Drexler's Investigate-ability work better in certain rooms?

Hi!
Doing my 1st run with FD as a start char. His Investigate-ability gives me a lot of joy as I'm basically the scap king now.
I was wondering if the ability has a better chance of finding high level gear if it's used in more 'high level rooms!? For example: Is the casino-room better to use it in than in the kitchen? Is the Bridge-room the best one?
Would like to know!
