    Beat Your Music settings sharing

Share settings (BPM, Beat Start, Variance) for your favorite custom tracks here! Other people can take those numbers and plug them in to generate a track without having to use the beat calculator!

It also helps to list the total track length and any other identifying information (source, album, etc.) so that people using different versions of the same track can make adjustments as necessary.

If you need help with a song that isn't listed here, post in this thread instead.

Just did "Kung Fu Fighting" (the shorter kung fu panda version) and got 103.883 bpm and 0.039 beat start. It seems to work pretty well, although the slower intro is off, and there's a bit of oddness mid-song before it gets back in sync.

      My custom beat

Guess I'll be the first outsider to create a beatmap
I chose the song Freezepop Forever by Freezepop from the album Freezepop Forever

      Track Name: FreezepopForever
      Artist Name: Freezepop
      Variance: 3
      Beat Start: 0.244
      BPM: 170

Only tried on Normal and Hard as I have not unlocked harder difficulties yet.
Plays almost as well as the official songs (maybe like 5 notes at most feel weird but are really on beat)

      *edit 1*
Would like to note this was made/tested on the Vita.
The PS3 is too much of a pain to get the video/audio synced up, Perhaps patching in a way to do it similar to the beat system in song creation? The slider you have is as bad as trying to sync in the later guitar heros... (go for rock band style synching)
      *edit 2*
Rounded the BPM to 170 (from 169.986)works a TON better.
Also I'm going to be including Video Footage of all my tracks so people don't have to necessarily waste their time downloading and testing in case they don't care for it. Or see that it's just TOO awesome and have to have it!

Cool, I'll give FreezePop a shot in a few hours! Been a fan since the Frequency/Amplitude days.

        In the meantime:

        Artist: Grendel
        Track Name: New Flesh
        Variance: 4
        Beat Start 0.1
        BPM: 135

        Tested on Expert and Master

Is that the version from Kung Fu Panda?

I think so. It's way shorter than the real one - 3 minutes and change.

                  Greatest song of all time

Yeah, I have Bohemian Rhapsody on my list and other classics but none can beat: Ice, Ice, Baby!!

                  Variance: 0
                  Beat Start: .44
                  BPM: 115.723

Seems to work well. Yo! VIP! Let's Kick it!

I am also looking to experiment with other unusual songs including country and classical. Have fun!

Appropriate, since we are doing a lot of collaborating and listening.

I hate you all. Any free time I might have had is effectively being sucked away from me because of this game. You monsters, you blew it up! Damn you!

                      Anyway...

                      Track Name: Afterlife
                      Artist Name: Avenged Sevenfold
Variance: 0, or something. Dunno. (this will be the same throughout)
                      Beat Start: 0.098
                      BPM: 109.998
Side note: Slow mo moments time extremely well with this song.

                      Track Name: Sleepyhead
                      Artist Name: Passion Pit
                      Variance: 0, any, whatever......
                      Beat Start: 0.065
                      BPM: 106.035
Side note: Due to the beat dropping out during chorus sections the in game kick sound fills it in and sounds awesome.

                      Track Name: Evacuate The Dancefloor
                      Artist Name: Cascada
                      Variance: 0, or pickles
                      Beat Start: 0
                      BPM: 127.028
Side note: Turned out extremely well/on time.
Pro Tip: Play on "Dance Club" stage for full effect.

                      Track Name: Bad Touch
                      Artist Name: Bloodhound Gang
                      Variance: 5,4,3,2,1
                      Beat Start: 0.441
                      BPM: 123.013
                      Side note: You're welcome.
Pro Tip: Play on "Turkish Bath" because people get naked there and stuff.

                      Track Name: We Are Rockstars
Artist Name: Does It Offend You, Yeah?
                      Variance: 3, or whatevs
                      Beat Start: 0.103
                      BPM: 127.987
Side note: Godly slow mo moments.

                      Track Name: Shut Me Uo
                      Artist Name: MSI

                      BPM: 174.09
                      Side note: Decent slow mo.

                      More later. Now sleep.

Great stuff guys! Keep them coming!

One suggestion I have is if the BPM is really close to a whole number (like 136.01), trying rounding it off and listening to see if it's still on beat all the way through. A lot of times, especially in modern music and certain genres, the music is produced at whole number bpms, so the rounding makes it just a tiny bit more accurate.

Don't do this with beat start, though.

                            Track Name: Disorganized FUn
                            Artist Name: Ronald Jenkins
Variance: I played it at 2, but can someone please explain to me the difference and the workings behind this?
                            Beat Start: 0.325
                            BPM: 98.004

Maybe rounding off the bpm down to 98 might make it more accurate like someone pointed out.
It came out mostly pretty good although I kinda wished some of the gameplay would highlight some of the highs of the song rather than just the beat but oh well.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Each variance number generates a different pattern based on the beat info and song, so you can try them all to see which one suits the song best.
