Ok so first I've already restarted the App and Mac a few times and this hasn't helped.
I cant find any official way of uninstalling the app, so I just deleted the Zen Pinball 2 icon from the Applications folder, then opened the App Store, and re-downloaded and installed. I launched the App and the first thing I did was click on "Restore your in-app purchases". I get a "please wait" message which i did for about 5 minutes.....nothing.
I clicked cancel, closed and restarted the App again, clicked on "Restore your in-app purchases". (Interestingly the App Store asked me to enter my password twice before ZP2 starts to download anything!) This time I get a download message which hangs at 1% for about 15 seconds, while this is happening I notice in my firewall software download activity by the app. After the DL activity stops, the download percentage in the game races from 1% to 99% in a couple of seconds and I get the "Downloaded data is corrupt" message again.
I restart the whole machine and try again. Now here's the bizarre thing - THIS TIME when I click "Restore in-app purchases" the download percentage increases steadily and constantly without freezing at 1%. At 100% I get the all clear and the table plays fine.
Now you may ask, why report back in such detail if the download finally worked. I just hope Zen can learn from this in making the download of new tables a smoother process. Also I now know a steady and slow download percentage is likely to result in a successful table install.
Anyway. Love the table. Great stuff. I know have a little more faith in purchasing new tables in the future.
Regards
