Default Will this game ever get a real ball physic?

maybe not real, but a bit more into the direction like it is in pinball arcade or the newly released timeshock? man, that would be great. maybe you can give the player the opportunity to switch between the kiddo physics and the real one?

I didn't like the Zen Pinball 2 physics at first too... but nowadays I only play Zen Pinball and the physics don't feel bad anymore, now I'm completely satisfied with them. And I don't work for Zen Studios or have any benefits for saying this ..if you know what I mean.

Physics are a law of nature, they can't be altered! [emoji12]
But you definitely can adjust after a few minutes of playtime, given that aiming is correct.
The direction zen should go is a bit less ball weight, and not so sticky magnetic flipper. Those saves are just unreal.

I played pinball arcade on ps3 just for a bit, but it didn't feel natural to me at all. Maybe it was the graphics or the animation or something, but it just felt soft and floaty. Maybe it's the ball animation which I think Zen nails. Zen might not be true to real tables, but for me more importantly, I feel like I have control. Whatever the physics are, my brain intuitively understands and can expect how the ball will react. For a video game this is key. Maybe I should give pinball arcade another shot now that it's on ps4.

That's my thoughts exactly when playing Pinball Arcade. Of course I know that technically it's more realistic but that's not what video games are about. 90%+ of my ball drains in Pinball Arcade are not my fault but happen due to bad luck. The exact opposite is the case with Zen. 90%+ of my ball drains in the Zen games are caused by lack of skill or reaction and are definitely preventable.
Pinball Arcade is more of a simulation which also means it is more frustrating which I hate in video games. I like a good challenge but I hate having to rely on luck. Not to mention there are some terrible issues in the programming of the Pinball Arcade which make it even more of a pain to use .

Well put. Zen feels more realistic for me (on Xbox 360) as the balls looks and feel real and not like a sliding disk as in Pinball Arcade. I have given Pinball Arcade many shots before but it has never stuck with me.

Idk, i think this guy is being a troll. Maybe I'm wrong but it's his first post and that's what he says?! Kiddo physics! .. My opinion is the physics are fine, I think they are spot on for the most part, except after the ball bounces off the slingshot about 5 times the 6th time it will just roll to the flipper..no big deal..Maybe I'm just used to it, maybe i am wrong about the physics, I never played time shock or whatever it's called, I have played pinball arcade and I'd say the ball physics in zen are so much better.. As we all know the ball rolls & spins in zen, in pinball arcade it looks like it just moves..

I like both games, i go through phases of which one I play but I'm usually on the zen, so maybe my thoughts are biased but I think not.. Anyways I always see pinball arcade fan boys talk crap about zen, idk why, some people don't want original video tables I guess.. but I never ever see zen fan boys bash pinball arcade. Never. I don't get it, its pinball the more the merrier.

Yeah, you want real physics ? Like when the flipper is not strong enough and you can't take a ramp ? It happened to me on the IRL CSI flipper. It's very fun to not be able to shoot something because the ball will never have the speed...
Physic is real, but fun is not.

I don't want my ball randomly falls off a ramp because, this time, the "real physic" says that the flipper hasn't had enough power to shoot a ramp, even if you aimed perfectly.
I don't want to launch my ball and it goes on the outlane before i touch it once.

I agree with another poster that said Pinball Arcade balls feel 'floaty'. In Zen the ball feels like it's actually rolling around. Pinball Arcade give an impression of it sliding along the table instead.

Totally agree about ball physics. I liked PA before I tried ZA2, then went back to PA because ZA2 was too cartoony.

Then I came back when I saw the cartoonies were in 3D. Now that I'm spending time and money on ZA2, I appreciate the ball weight and speed that accompanies ZA2.

Do you know what I REALLY miss? The loud THWACK that the pinballs sometimes made on IRL tables when they hit the glass.

so i went back to farsights pb, played it 5 minutes and missed zp2 again. dont know whats going on. think iam on the kiddo rail right now, but its fun tho.
